i enjoy being married very much, but i know i wouldn't do it again--no way another guy could measure up. wouldn't be fair to him.
besides, i don't think i'd feel up to training another won...

That's fine, but it does prove that once is enough....Kev found that out the hard way....Guiliani is on his 3rd. But he'll learn.

It could be. I'm not cynical on the 3rd one. Just the first one. Don't dive in, and you won't get to a 3rd.

what kills me is when a guy or gal calls dr laura or writes dear abby for advice. 'well, dear, did you know he was like that when you dated'? well, yeah, but.....now they're tired of it, and want things to change. sigh.

well, yeah, he cheated, but that was before we made a commitment. lol
or there's, well he hit me a little, but i said the wrong thing. but now he beats me all the time, what should i do? oh, but they can't LEAVE, who will support them and the kids?? oh yeah, marry a loser--go ahead and bring some kids/victims in to screw up too!

crazy crazy.

that's true about cheaters. absolutely kills me when two get together, both get a divorce from their poor spouses--marry each other and then are SURPRISED when they get cheated on!!! but it was true love!! hahaha, dumbasses. if they cheat with you, they're gonna cheat on you. because once upon a time, that spouse they're bad mouthing to you was their true love, just like you are now.
i listen to dr laura sometimes, it's funny sometimes, but always kind of sad too--a lady called that married a guy (and now a six year old girl in the mix, GREAT!) that had cheated on his first wife, cheated on her while they were dating, and she married him anyway. i don't want him to cheat on me, what should i do?? and she was serious.

Alright here's packerbacker's thoughts on being married. It's never a 50/50 kind of thing. Someone will always be giving more than the other. When you can remember more bad times than good times it's time to leave. We make love sometimes and other times it's naughty to the point you can't look at each other the next mourning.ha ha My wife is my best friend plain and simple. We love doing everything together shopping, NASCAR, bowling, softball etc etc. When shes out with her girlfriends I can't sleep until she's in bed with me. I buy her gifts and she pampers me. I can't remember what life was like before her even till this day. I know lot's of you will say I'm whipped and I'll reply dam right. I know one thing for sure she'll be with me thru it all day after day. That's somethign that's hard to find these days.

Tell that to my parents... they were married 25 years when they got divorced in 1998.

You know, in the original ending, Glenn Close's character kills herself a la Madame Butterfly, but in such a way that Michael Douglas' character gets blamed for it and goes to jail for murder. Next time the film is on TV, watch it and you'll see how they set it all up- shots of him touching the knife, etc. But test audiences hated it; they wanted to see Glenn Close pay. Which says something kind of depressing about the average audience member, I think- I mean, HE was the married one, after all... she gets shot by his wife, who then takes him back. Yeah, that's real uplifting. I'm just sorry they left out what should have been the final scene in that version, when Michael Douglas puts his arm around Anne Archer, they walk into the living room together and then she cuts his balls off and puts them in a little box.

Of course, my husband's big problem with the movie was, "Who would cheat on Anne Archer in the first place?"

I'm totally sorry if I just ruined the movie for anyone. Though if you haven't seen it by now, you probably aren't planning to, anyway.

Didn't know that. I'm a big believer that the bad guys in movies should win more often. Too bad if people don't like it.
