I've always though that if Stewart Elliot would have geared Smarty Jones down in the Preakness and cruised home by 5 lengths, he would have probably won the Belmont.

The reason I think that Big Brown will win the Belmont is because he wasn't even close to being all out in the Preakness and the race probably didn't take that much out of him. He should be able to come back in 3 weeks and win.
I wish someone could explain this logic to me. If he was running a race an hour after the Preakness, I can see how this may be bad. But is it really meaningful in a race THREE weeks later that running .20 slower will make you win the race in THREE weeks? I mean running 9.5f fast is tough on a horse regardless. Is a tenth of a second slower really gonna mean the difference between winning and losing three weeks later?? It must be true because all the experts agree...but how is it true??

Personally if I run 2 miles today 2 seconds faster than normal...in 24 hours I will feel exactly the same regardless. How is it so much different than a horse that 3 weeks later, running 9.5 furlongs 0.2 seconds slower makes so much physiological difference??

Same thing with horses.

Sometimes they run like they have 4 ...and sometimes like they have 2.

Right. Since you asked for suggestions for the Belmont Day show, why not put him on the air for a segment?

I'd be willing to bet Morty is too shy to join me for an on air segment... but if he would, I'd guarantee entertainment.

(I already have DougS on weekly.. Isn't that enough?)

I'm sorry---that was rude.

I'll tell you what...I'll go on the day after you get invited to vomit your Welschsish like grape juice.

Is this fair?

I had a decent wager on the Pool 1 "All Others" group. Did ok. I could not wait for your plays any longer. Will you accept Steve's generous offer for you to appear on his Belmont show?

Yes....I figured you for an "all" guy.

And I don't think EightBelles and Tail of E-Thebby made anyone wait too long.....but I will say this:

You mean Steve didn't invite you?????.....yet????

Mr. Pud?

You mean to say---you decided to challenge Steve's comment about my being smart...with your own little sarcastic comment by daring him to invite me on his fine program....DARING him--mind you.....when all the while YOU have never been invited??

Doesn't this deja vu back to black pots and whatnots?

You should go on.
