What? The Grade-1-Challenged Thoroughbred Trainer isn't piling on? Needs a little more time, I guess. Maybe he's leading a seminar on "How you too can be a White Conservative in America." Aren't the Angel games packed enough (early on) to satisfy you people? A-1 Sauce, if Philly is so great, then why do you have to go escape to Florida? Isn't their enough choice Dyke in the lesser Philly area for you? I'd like to know why you care what this T.J. Simers guy has to write. He's not well-liked here (at all.) I could never see why people had such a wicked hard-on for Jim Murray, but he was sure better than this a-s-s. This has nothing to do with Philly. This guy was gunna choke against anyone in a big spot like this. Jimmy Rollins got the cookie, but anybody could of gotten it. The biggest knock (no, it's not that the stands aren't loaded up with enough fat white trash at a certain time of the proceedings at hand) on this organization is their do-nothing approach to treating the cancer called choking. If that's your plan (ignore it,) then it's gunna nail ya again, and it did. It's their fault for not trading him. I told them to get rid of this fkn woman. This Asian lady (our assistant G.M.) is interviewing for head G.M. jobs. That's my 1st question to her. What part (if any) did you have in bringing this choking woman reliever back this year to again blow the pivotal 4th game of the NLCS? I think the worst thing about the Dodger Fans is that not enough of them demanded this woman be traded after last season. That should of been a much louder chorus. This was one of those very preventable abortions. If people would just look at the facts laid out in front of them, it all points to this gal being their biggest obstacle to ever being a Championship Club. You saw me btch about this woman, because it was (still is) a huge problem that wasn't being addressed. She's got plenty enough talent. Go back and look at the last pitch in the St. Louis series. That's what the Dodger Fans deserve from this woman. That was a 100 mph fastball with huge action (slicing a diagonal) through the strike zone. That's not what Jimmy Rollins was challenged with. He wasn't challenged (at all.) All of his elderly kin could of hit that sorry pitch.

I'll cut him some slack tomorrow if he goes out and pitches great and doesnt throw any teammates under the bus.
Hamels may be an east coast version of Barry Zito

My lesser half vetoed me betting the Phils (at +105.) Fk relationships. Fk shared money. FK joint accounts. Maybe the Conservatives are right about that "Fk-Sharing" thing. To top it all off, now I have "Jerome Park" under my call name. Sounds like some Philly fan in Camden downing a bottle of Cisco.

Would you rather have Brad Lidge? I miss Philly.. the place I grew up (45 mins outside Philly) sucked and I dont miss that but I could live in Philly easy. I love FL weather and FL women but I hate Ocala and will be out of here soon enough. FL has the least passionate sports fans (except for Gator fans), so that is a big knock on FL and thats why it doesnt bother me when Bigs puts down Philly fans because I know how much Tampa fans really suck.

I'd feel bad for ya if you werent playing the Phils buddy. But you have to admit that "You took steriods" is a great and fitting for your idiot star batter. Maybe thats why you guys are struggling.. you have a sissy star batter who needs a needle in his butt to hit well, and we have a real MAN (Howard) who says "Just get me to the plate, boys."

Cannon, you must admit that your opinion of Howard last year was off.. but then again you were getting on him for being fat and saying how that wouldnt last, and he wins the WS and just goes into focus hyperdrive and loses 15 pounds and is in good shape. He's so freaking clutch though, its really amazing to watch.

Seriously, could any God make a nose that bad? At the end of the day, it's a blessing he can hit, because he looks almost as bad as a burn patient. If they don't have a plastic surgeon somewhere that can help that poor guy, then just let him eat. Do Philly fans ever really get used to looking at that mess?

Its fine with me that he looks like the black version of Shrek. Just keep swingin for the fences! I've been very impressed with his defensive play lately too.. he's really worked hard to improve that part of his game. He could have taken his ring and have been satisfied.. but he put in the extra effort and its really paying off. I love their whole "team" mentality also. Charlie has done a great job checking attitudes at the door and making this team have tons of heart.

No my opinion was pretty much correct last year and he is about the same hitter with major issues versus lefties. The fact that he lost weight and became a better defensive player made him a better player. And he did have a better year at the plate also but still really struggles with left handers. He hit .208 with 6 Hr and 33 rbi against lefthanders this year with 83 k's in 252 plate appearances, so he was striking out 33% of the time against them. The fact that he got Wolf for a HR is proof that he is really locked in right now not that he can hit lefties on a regular basis. Howard is a very tough out right now. When Padilla hangs one tomorrow, he'll probably hit another HR.

pretty much all lefties struggle with lefty pitching. I dont think there is one guy I'd rather have on my team than Howard. And that includes Pujols. I'm not saying Howard is a better hitter than Pujols, but Howard is as clutch as it gets and he just comes through when you need it.

"Just get me to the plate, boys" Thats the stuff legends are made from!!

If you are talking football I'd agree. However in baseball Pujols is superior in virtually every possible way. Howard may have a touch more opposite field power. That's all I can think of.

I do think Howard is a very good power hitter.

There is no one that I know of that has as radical of splits as Howard. He kills right handers but is generally awful against lefties. He can be countered by a team with a strong lefty. (Randy Wolf is NOT a strong left hander)

The only counter to Pujols is the walk.

Dodgers= Phils' Pet Bitches

Coletti= Reuben's Amaro Jr.'s Bitch

Ned, you might try getting that Ace (Lee) next time, and stop arrogantly going with that piece of sht Broxton. Do that n' you'd of had a 4-3 series. Probably still lose the series 4-3, but ya got no chance with a woman closer, and no ace. Funny how he can't figure this out. These so called pro-executive types are pretty fkn thick. They "know better."

Its really been a consistent theme this postseason...
You have your good teams- Yankees and Phillies... and the other ones who look like they should be playing in Little League: Red Sox, Angels, Dodgers and Twins.

I guess we should all be pysched that the 2 best teams (by far) will be duking it out next week for the title.

The rest of the teams really have a lot of work to do or we could be looking at Yankees-Phillies World Series for many years to come.

Charlie yanked Cole at the right time.

'Pen did a nice job … particularly that Durbin guy … got three or four big outs.

I'm glad Werth plays for the red team.

Victorino too

Would love to see them stuff NY…
