So he sucks because he doesn't win big races and he sucks because he doesn't win big races because trainers don't want riders that win at a high clip?

I never said that Ramon gets a lot of "big mounts" and fails with them in what you call big races.

Let me ask you a question, how do you feel about Joel Rosario?

he won 5 grade 1's last year. how many grade 1's in a year puts you in elite company?

You also forget that your top tier jockeys in NYRA are spent shuffling around Keeneland, Gulfstream, Churchill. And again they dont ride near as enough mounts as Dominguez to even contend jockey titles. What they do beat him in is definetely in Graded stakes win.

Also, you seem to empasize wins in Claiming, ALW as more important than anything else.

I am not going to argue that Dominguez is a good jockey or not but as far as being elite --Not yet my friend.
Obviously he isn't beating the cream of the crop now. Most of the jocks flee NY when they move on to the inner. Then they start migrating back when they move back to the main track. But what about Saratoga and the titles for the 2 Belmont meets? Those count for nothing? Someone mentioned it before, I also think the fact that he doesn't ride first call for guys lke Pletcher, Kiran, Baffert etc..... hurts him in some of the bigger races. But I really think he is a guy who is on the cusp of exploding and trainers will be wanting him to fly in to ride their horses all over the country. He's on his way to that next level.

Now, I did not say he sucks. I only mentioned Russel Baze, and Clinton Potts because these are other jocks that win a lot at high percentage but when given the oppurtunity to step up thier game in Big Races, they are a No-Show. However, to put Ramon him in the level of Gomez, Leparoux, Desourmaux etc. is not merited yet.

Just like Dominguez, Rosario is a rising star but he is more than a decade younger and has much much less riding experience than Dominguez. Rosario is not elite yet but as far as riding talent, I perfer Rosario slightly ahead of Ramon.

I am not sure who is agent is but something tells me he needs to switch. He has proven he can win Jockey titles but now he can start proving he can earn and win those big races. When rosario first started riding in So. Cal he was indeed a talent but when Vic started becoming his agent, he secured better mounts for him. An agent switch for Dominguez could indeed secure relationships with better trainers.

This post just shows how completely out of touch you are with this entire scenario. You want a guy who won the riding title at every f*ing meet in NY to change agents? You know what, you might not think Dominguez is elite, but I bet the elite amount of money he put in his pocket after winning 300+ races and 5 Grade I's is fine.

JHC, his agent comes to NY and orchestrates one of the strongest years in 30and you want the guy to fire him.

What is this based on? Because he hasn't won a TC race? Someone already brought up neither has Leparoux or Gomez. No one's saying Dominguez is better than Bailey, or Stevens, or McCarron, or Pincay. He's still pretty damn good.

His botched ride on Old Fashioned in the Rebel last year forced us all to endure delusional Win Willy fans for a few weeks.

That in itself is cause enough to hate him.

Watch every single horse he rides even if he does not win, Ramon always finds the rail and is always in prime position to strike... Watch his ride on WH tomorrow at Gulfstream, I here he's going to trip out.

I got to admit that was one helluva ride. He sat patient and instead of opting to go wide he sat chill and waited for an opening and took it and won.
