I think the Mosses really thought their horse was so loved they'd win, that's why they're shocked.

What were you watching? There was no bitterness evident on their faces. They simply kissed each other the moment the announcement was made.

Its just the whole Zenyatta camp and followers dont get it. Moss commented on the fact she was perfect for her life. That doesnt matter, we've said that time and time again, its horse of the YEAR not a lifetime achievement award.

Keep in mind that nearly a hundred of these nitwits actually voted for SJ over GZ for '04 HotY … so this HORRIBLE result is really no surprise…

Plus they have Sting in their corner.

I thought Zenyatta might pull it off after I read this quote:

“I struggled with the decision for many days, especially since I have been a fan of Rachel throughout,” said James Platz, an Indiana-based correspondent for the magazine Blood-Horse. “However, I can’t get the vision of Zenyatta slicing through the field in the stretch of the Classic out of my mind. It was absolutely amazing.”

I actually really wanted to make a joke about Forego being an Italian name, but it needs to be said aloud to make sense. So never mind.

You won't see them in the Apple Blossom. Jax just nixed it because of the flooding in New Orleans.

Baffert's tantrum when he lost the trainer award was pretty entertaining and obnoxious.

Except for the time when they cut to him during Jackson's speech when he said they should talk and figure something out - and that post-award quote wasn't bitter at all.

Which was all a total surprise from a team that has been incredible up to this point.

Perhaps I've mistaken his facial expressions and his quote combined -- and he'll clarify in the coming days....but not a real impressive night for him regardless, most notably considering that he's been untouchable as far as class goes up to this point.

The post-award conversation with the interviewer had some bitterness and obvious disapointment. My original post was made after I replayed his first reaction when the announcement was made. He simply turned to his wife and they kissed and the camera turned away. How anyone could construe that as bitter simply had a preconceived notion of his feelings.
I really don't understand the animosity toward either of the owners and am not interested in the reasons why. Congrats to Rachel and Zenyatta.

Also they panned back to the group and they were toasting during Jackson's speech...

Which was probably started by Mike Smith. He was glassy-eyed and is an obvious severe alcoholic.
