I'm not a fan, but we got him for pennies so I rikey. If we get a capable edge rusher opposite Pace and a healthy Jenkins, look the uff out.

Plus, your safeties can play closer to the line. Your defense was already really really good, this just made them the best in the NFL. The reason the Bears pass rush was so good when they made it to the Super Bowl was because Tillman and The Interceptor (now the Never Interceptor) were shut down. Now, they don't cover anyone. |

I think it's a good move for the Jets. They didn't have to give up much (although I believe there are some conditions that could make it a second rounder) to get a guy that should fit very nicely into that defense. Also I believe that he's entering the final year of his contract, so the kid will be looking to get paid. He should have plenty of opportunites to get picks because teams will be throwing to his side of the field to avoid Revis Island.

They won't make the playoffs...ok..they might, but Sanchez will struggle. Whoever made the comparison between the Ravens of a few years ago and next year's Jets was right on.

Why will he struggle? Because you say so? He already had a 63.0 QB rating and damn near 30 turnovers last season, and we still were two quarters away from the Super Bowl. He improved with every game in the playoffs, and look at the freaking arsenal he has now. Even if you think Sanchez will still be below average, the Ravens never had one tenth of the weapons the Jets have this year. Yeah, "right on." They still have to play the games, but this team is loaded. I'd love to hear who's better (on paper) in the AFC. Last edited by ateamstupid : 04-12-2010 at 03:39 AM. |
