I'm not a fan, but we got him for pennies so I rikey. If we get a capable edge rusher opposite Pace and a healthy Jenkins, look the uff out.

I think you Jet fans are missing the point now. Those two corners together means that your pass rush will be improved even if they get no one.

Plus, your safeties can play closer to the line. Your defense was already really really good, this just made them the best in the NFL.

The reason the Bears pass rush was so good when they made it to the Super Bowl was because Tillman and The Interceptor (now the Never Interceptor) were shut down. Now, they don't cover anyone.

It was already the best defense in the NFL, now it's just awesomer. But anyone not named Revis can be picked apart by a good quarterback if there's no pass rush. Sheppard and Lowery had decent seasons, if we had a pass rush they would've had very good seasons. We still need someone besides Pace who can beat people one-on-one.

he's a known headcase and SD gave him away to get rid of him. he only plays when he feels like it.

I think it's a good move for the Jets. They didn't have to give up much (although I believe there are some conditions that could make it a second rounder) to get a guy that should fit very nicely into that defense. Also I believe that he's entering the final year of his contract, so the kid will be looking to get paid. He should have plenty of opportunites to get picks because teams will be throwing to his side of the field to avoid Revis Island.

They won't make the playoffs...ok..they might, but Sanchez will struggle. Whoever made the comparison between the Ravens of a few years ago and next year's Jets was right on.

Why will he struggle? Because you say so? He already had a 63.0 QB rating and damn near 30 turnovers last season, and we still were two quarters away from the Super Bowl. He improved with every game in the playoffs, and look at the freaking arsenal he has now. Even if you think Sanchez will still be below average, the Ravens never had one tenth of the weapons the Jets have this year. Yeah, "right on." They still have to play the games, but this team is loaded. I'd love to hear who's better (on paper) in the AFC.
