What part exactly is not true? I was wrong about Westbrook early on. I thought he was a bum. Hes not. He is a top 10 player in the NBA and a supremely gifted athlete. You don’t think he wants to be the guy? He is the definition of a combo guard, he a shoot first guard.

If Steve Kerr can play a role on a good NBA team there is no reason Jimmer cant too

Pretty much but little cheaper replacement with a little more upside.

The Spurs seemed to have proven that theory wrong more than a few times in the past.

If a guy has a real NBA skill, even just one, teams will find a use for him. Fredette can shoot and has easy 3 point range. He really cant do anything else but that is his one skill. Supposedly he is heading to Memphis

Memphis could be a scary first round opponent if they can get into the playoffs...really haven't had any continuity with their team so far...if they can just get/stay healthy.

Memphis is not that good, I dont think they could beat any of the top 6 teams in the West.

Any player can be good in Miami, OKC, Houston. He would fit perfectly on about 13 teams. He can have a long career in the NBA.

They're not near as bad as their record. You do realize they haven't been at full strength for most of the season right? With that said I'm still not a fan of having the front office influencing lineup/rotation and game strategy.

I get it, but the West is stacked. Could they beat Portland, Houston, Golden St, San Antonio, OKC or the Clippers? I mean not to take a shot at you, but I think they would fair best vs Portland.

I agree, that's why I stated that I think the West is wide open and it's gonna come down to health and who's playing the best basketball going into the playoffs.

Then why do those teams only play 7-8 guys?

Lets not get crazy. The guy is bench scoring and 3 point shooting only.

Miami plays 10 guys.

allen
bosh
wade
chalmers
battier
birdman
king
cole
lewis even gets 17min a game
beasley
oden
plus they want to play beasley and oden more. so miami runs 11 guys.

OKC regularly plays 11 guys.

lamb
the kings servant
westbrook
adams
fisher
perkins
ibaka
thabo
jones gets around 10min a game im guessing
collison
jackson

Those are just the top two teams that I know off the top of my head. Im guessing the other teams plays more then 8 guys also, but Im not going to check up on it.

Harden went off last night. Houston now 10-1 last 11, 13-3 over the last 16. Hottest team in the NBA right now. There schedule gets crazy over there next 10. They play at Clippers at OKC at Miami and at Chicago, they are home vs Portland, Miami and Indiana. This is just the next 10 games. If they get through this 6-4 I think they get the #1 seed. There schedule goes super soft after this stretch.

7 mins a game isnt really playing, it is garbage time and filling in for injured guys and in Miami's case resting players. In these two teams cases there are much better options for them in many cases if they had cap space to use which they dont. Teams have to fit players in who fit the salary cap, not the best player. See how many minutes some of these guys get when the playoffs come.

They are essentially 5 games behind OKC as it stands today. 4 games behind and 0-2 versus OKC this year which is the 1st tiebreaker. The 2nd tiebreaker is comference record and they are 6 games behind OKC there. The chance of them making up 5 games on OKC with 25 to go is highly unlikely and impossible if they go 6-4 over the next 10 considering that OKC has 2 games left with Cleveland, 2 more with the Lakers, a game with Philly, 2 more with Sacramento, 2 with New Orleans, a home game with Denver, Utah, Charlotte and Detroit. That is 13 games that OKC will be prohibitive favs in. If they split their tough games and blew 2 of these easy ones that is still 17-8 and Houston would still have to go 22-3 to make up the difference.

Of course teams tighten the roster up come playoff time.

at Clippers, Miami, Indiana, Portland, at OKC, at Chicago, Clippers, at Toronto, OKC, San Antonio

You seriously think they are going to win 7 out of these 10 AND win every other game?

And that is if OKC goes 17-8 which is close to a worst case scenario. If they go 19-6 Houston has to go 24-1.

Lets put it this way....It aint gonna happen unless Durant gets kidnapped. And even then it is a longshot.
