Thanks, NT and Phil.

The Niners are my pick to win it all. I'm real impressed with their defense. The Minnesota game winner was a fluke.

The only team I'm worried about? The Giants.

That was a fun game yesterday but save that last TD drive the Jets did a terrific job defensively against them. Now Sanchez on the other hand was a disaster.

Payton seems to have figured out that using Reggie Bush a little bit early and then decreasing it the rest of the way is smart. Pierre Thomas is a tough back to bring down in the 2nd half of a game.

Going out Thursday, I'm staying at the Hard Rock on Thursday & Friday, then Caesars on Saturday & Sunday, (getting married on Sunday at Caesars), then Mandalay Bay Monday thru Wednesday. We're going to LA for Santa Anita a couple days then coming home Saturday the 17th.

I have a bromance with Mike Singletary so I'm a little biased.

The 'aints have a problem staying healthy.

Our defense is among the best in the league, if not the best. We held the Saints to 10 points without our best pass rusher and our 2nd and 3rd best corners. The offense, on the other hand, will keep us from being great. It wasn't just Sanchez's mistakes, the O-Line has way underperformed this year and we still don't have a deep threat WR. The defense is so damn good it could carry us to 11-12 wins, but I think the other side of the ball will cost us ultimately. Hopefully I'm wrong and they get better, but we'll see.

I know no one asked, I'm just venting.

Brett Favre and Monday night.

F.uck it.

They should win if they use the run but they won't. He'll throw some picks and they'll lose.

Man...I don't know..I think Jared Allen is going to have like 15 sacks by half. Their left tackle is really their left guard and he ain't even that good there. Rodgers could get killed.

But...I hope you keep the roll going

you forget that you're talking about the Jets......although I'm sure they're ready to steal the #1 collegiate long snapper in next year's first round...
and yes, I'm a Bengals fan, but at least we have managed to win the AFC a couple of times in the modern era....

There really should be nothing to vent at. If I would have offered you 2-2 in the first 4 games before the season started, you would have jumped on it in a second. They are 3-1 with a strong chance of going 3-1 again in the next 4games going into the bye (maybe even 4-0 depending on the fish). The second half is tougher, but they have put themselves in a good spot early on.
This week at Miami is a good chance to see where they are at and how will they rebound against a divisional foe. Looking at the big picture I want to say the Ryan will have them ready and overall they are going in the right direction.

True. Plus I forgot Captain P.ussy Fart would have the strength of a 90 year old woman and cough it up when pressured.

You have to look at this as a blue-balled Jet fan like me and so many others. Just because of how many years they've teased us by being pretty good, but not great, if the potential is there I want to root for a great team. The defense is great, but I have a feeling it's going to end up being wasted because of an inept/mismanaged offense. No doubt with their schedule they should be at least 6-2 at the bye and probably at least 11-5 by year's end. But that means nothing to me if they don't have a legitimate chance to get to the Super Bowl.

It sounds spoiled, and I'm definitely grateful that they're way better than I thought they'd be, but they're probably fatally flawed, and I've rooted for too many Jet teams like that to be gassed up by another one.

Hopefully I'm wrong and the O-Line gets its act together, Clowney or someone else comes on as a deep threat and Sanchez stops staring down his receivers. Until that happens though, we'll be a great defense with an offense that could never carry us if necessary. I know I should look long-term, but who knows if the parts are going to be there next year. Kris Jenkins is breaking down, other than Mangold we don't have any great O-Lineman, the rest of the D-Line is nothing special and they still refuse to pay Leon his money.

With that said, I told Chuck I'm expecting a 35-6 Jet win next Monday.
