The reality is that there's a lot of sadness in the world. Perhaps I should be sad about it ... maybe even go all MyMissStormCat and start my own 'Fly with the Angels' thread for him.

I just don't have it in me.
I'm from WV when he played there - got his autograph for my nephew, which I planned on giving to him for Christmas as he was his favorite Mountaineer... Now that he's dead, it's on Ebay... Poor little guy will just have to get over it...

He's also arguably the most hated media figure by Patriots fans ... and yet, now, he's a "Pats' puppets?"

Link?

I'll give you one of many: http://bostonsportsinnewyork.com/200...has-a-problem/

Study this picture....

Randy Moss is so graceful that when you watch him - it appears that he is making no effort to do anything - unless he's sprinting deep.

The beauty of still pictures is that you don't get mesmorized by gracefullness.

Vonte Davis - a sibling to that tight end from San Fran who is like the worlds greatest physical speciman - just made a great play.
Firstly, how unlike Patriot fans to invent some myopic "no one appreciates us!" conspiracy for anyone who doesn't recognize Chairman Bill or Tawmmy's infinite greatness. Secondly, even if Hoge did hate the Pats once, he's the definition of a media slut. He'll say whatever, whenever, so long as it's different from what other people are saying and thus gives him attention. That's why he's never allowed on any of ESPN's main NFL shows, he's a joke and no one takes him seriously because he changes his ridiculous opinion so goddam often.

Secondly, look at that picture. Moss is standing stationary, effeminately waving at a ball that he stopped on with his eyes closed. What a gladiator. For a contrast, look at the contortion Davis had to do to pick the ball off.

It's too fun arguing with you, because I think deep down in your heart, you know Moss is a quitter on the decline who will never win anything.

Look hack, if the guy doesn't fall out of the truck you would have started a thread about what a douchebag he was and how he didn't change and how he should be suspended for life... So the guy does something incredibly stupid, dies and it is forgotton that he was terrorizing his girlfriend. But you really can't control yourself being a Jets fan and all. I bet you are also a Mets fan?

Perhaps so.
But, in my opinion, there is a slight difference between calling someone a name like that, and coming on here (as you have) and saying basically, who cares that he died because "the world is safer" with him dead, and that a couple of people failing to hit a pick-4 is a bigger tragedy than the death of a human being.

"Basically saying" is your interperatation numb nutz. But I guess its ok you and your cohorts "Basically saying" Chris Henry is a hero and should be glorified and celebrated regardless of the fact he has been arrested 5 times and he went out terrorizing a women. Wow, wonder if you'd feel the same way if he was a shmo coal miner from Western Kentucky that jumped onto the back of a moving truck and was beating on the roof with his cast while his wife/fiancee/girlfriend was trying to flee.

who the hell said he was a hero or glorified him? showing empathy does not equate to either of those things.

Wasn't he putting the driver of the truck at extreme risk by doing this? Would this be considered at least reckless endangerment.

At one time he averaged 16 tons a day but was on an indefinite suspension. He was appealing the suspension saying he had gotten his life together. So basically he was not eligible to start in your league.

I don't quite understand why you have resorted to name calling in this discussion, but I suppose that is your decision to make.
You did say that "the world is safer" now that he is dead, and you also did compare his death to a couple of people not hitting a pick-4. You didn't imply, or hint at, or "basically say" those things....you just flat out said them. If that's how you feel, fine. You are entitled to your opinion. But you should at least be honest and admit that nowhere in this thread have I "basically said," or implied, or hinted at the fact that he should be considered a hero. I suppose you can continue to carry on the discussion as if we are saying he was a great guy who should be honored and glorified....but none of us are saying that.

Sorry about the name calling.
1. Since he was beating on his fiancees window of her truck whilst it was traveling down the road showing gross reckless endangerment, wouldn't you say she is safer today. He breaks that window and we now have 2 dead.
2. Again for the upteenth time the P4 comment was an attempt to lighten the mood and not a very good one at that. I have estabished that so if thats how you wish to continue by all means focus on a moot point.
3. You basically used the term "basically said" and then interjected your interpretation that "I didn't care" I just did the same thing and interjected my interpretation of your postings. And please don't insult our intelligence that you actually "care". Have you sent a mass card, flowers, tried to reach out in any way. Did you lose sleep last night, offered a prayer. So don't act holier than though. Posting RIP on a message board is hardly caring. My whole point is I find it absolutely absurd that people simply dismiss someones past or how he went out (wanton reckless endangerment). As far as my caring, I care and am disturbed of the thug mentality that exists in some sports today. I care that we give chance after chance to those that have shown they don't deserve it. I care that his girlfriend may get charged for homocide and her offense was fleeing for her saftey. I care that their kids may have witnessed violence between their parents because it WILL stay with them forever.

Deep down in what heart?

He's in his 12th season - of course he's somewhat on the decline.

You're talking about the only football player in history who was good enough to be an NFL starter at age 15.

As for him being "a quitter who will never win" I don't know if you're trolling or if you really do have your head that far up your ass.
