Really surprised with the number in here who like Crowded House. I think it's a wide open race, but I am ridiculously suspect of an American who hasn't started for a while coming off the juice and clearing quarantine on Wednesday.

I need an American-based horse shipping to the Carnival other than a reigning Horse of the Year (Curlin 2008) to prove to me they can run big when the top money isn't on the line. Being that Crowded House hasn't won since October or November of 2008, he has a few things seemingly going against him. |

#2 Was down 15 lengths coming into the stretch of the World Cup last year, and only lost by 3 lengths with trouble. #3 Would have won the Pacific Classic if he had a decent jockey on him, not one of the 3 "pinheads" who rode him in America. Horse comes from out of the clouds and these idiot riders have him that close up to the pace??? ridiculous!!! Now he gets Ryan Moore, who is "Michael Jordan" compared to the MORONS who rode him in America. Only negative i see is American trainer (P.U.) I wish Meehan was still training him, would feel a hell of alot better about his chances, but will still take my stand with him. Last edited by The Bart : 02-03-2011 at 08:41 AM. |

Oh my God did he win cause am running in and out and came here first instead of tvg - missed it and oh I always play my HK boys so hooray!!!
edit - Oh good boy! I know most of you don't read the HK thread or the were going to thread but he was named for Natural Blitz who won the HK Sprint in a huge upset and who broke down just past the wire in the Centenary Sprint Cup. Anyway, thrilled for the connections. |

The AmWest form was wrong on Dynamic Blitz, showed him finishing third on turf last time, when really, he was on the polytrack. For those who receive my newsletter, he was the longshot play of the day!

Only in pick threes and couldn't connect them...Warsaw? Really? Didn't like Star Empire either. Oh well..

Looks like a bit of a blood bath for almost everyone. Some of those results are hard the work out. Warsaw? He was probably the first horse I took out. Lord Of The Stars? How on earth has he managed to put in a career best effort from nowhere?
I also didn;t really fancy Star Empire today, nor Bold Silvano, who I thought would be there for a track gallop in a race which looked very likely not to suit. How wrong I was. Our Giant and Here To Win..... what happened? I didn't see any racing. I thought they were both good things.

I'm impressed. I gave up on him a long time ago.
The pp's don't go back this far but I think it was the Norfolk Stakes where he did really badly and then a few after that (at the Curragh). I just never expected much after that (although he did win a few). Anyway good for you! As far as the HK boys, I'll only say this once (yeah, right ) Beauty Flash is going to the Duty Free. Tony Cruz hasn't had the greatest luck with his runners over there (and I mean all three were ******* superb horses... Bullish Luck (the pre-DWC trips) , Russian Pearl and Floral Pegasus) BUT he doesn't send them over for no reason. This is a really nice horse. Here are his records / replays... http://www.hkjc.com/english/racing/h...=K314&search=1 I like Our Giant but he never wins 2 in a row! |

I wasn't a big Bold Silvano fan for today (even though I picked him...doing so on class alone), but off this effort, I think he is the favorite in the Dubai World Cup as a result, until something changes. Star Empire got away with murder sitting just off a longshot pacesetter who went to the 400 in 28 and 800 in 55 for 2400m+. The longshot almost stayed (Calvados Blues) and Star Empire sat the perfect trip. Our Giant...he took advantage of a huge pace last time and didn't get it to the same degree today as Inxile wasn't too fast away and then cleared over but without pressure. He ran into a fast pace first up and didn't get near the same this time. |

Me too, but again yesterday Moore had him within 5 or 6 lengths of the pace, when this horse runs his best 15 or 20 lengths behind the leaders. Hopefully Cecil is just getting this horse ready for a big run in the World Cup. I will be on him the rest of his races over there, as I believe he is going to be a real good price whenever he runs. The horse, in my opinion, has the talent to run with the best, but they have to put him in the right spot in the race, which is way off the pace.

He has talent because he doesn't get his clock cleaned against top competition and has been close in the past...
But he is 0-for-13 since his last win...if he stays in Dubai and improves, maybe he'll have a shot. As for now, they all have to prove better than Bold Silvano. |
