Heck yes I make sweeping generalizations. One has to in a world that contains over 6 billion INDIVIDUALS. And I challenge people with the generalizations for two reasons: It gives me insight into how they think. And I can learn more with a little bit of a provacative nature. You can put me on your ignore list. Politically we are probably more alike than you realize. I just realize that I cannot possibly get all sides of a story. If you have a phoneline to God, can I have it? I dont automatically blow other's ideas off. Rather I prod and challenge. It may seem like I do. But I take every post into consideration. Bogey men and bigots...? you must mean lots of people that dont realize they have predjudicial beliefs and have no concept of what it means to try to be empathetic. Again, empathy, a peculiar human trait that you might want to try on occasion. You need not respond if I confuse you. 1. I agreed with you on Israel. I dont think Palestinians are stupid. (This thread) 2. Then I read your reasoning and it is absolutely astounding. (the basis of the side threads) The tangent threads arise all the time on the internet. Branching of ideas takes place. I dont have a problem with it. Simplification complete. |

No critical analysis available. Does not understand the word empathy, and how this leads to human understanding. Not trained in any sort of analytical way. Facts are friends, but please dont try to understand further than that. The earth is round. Why? It dont matter it just is. Stay in the shallow end of the pool. Its safer. Old guy stuck. He has fallen and he cant get up. Gonna have to remind the wife to shoot me when and if I reach this stage. Have splendid uneventful evening. |

![]() This is why I like C-span. They had the Syrian diplomat dealing with the Russians speaking and saying:
1. A cease-fire happen before any negotiations of substance. 2. After a cease-fire, MAYBE an exchange of prisoners can take place. 3. Israel started the aggression into Lebanon, so the exchange of prisoners will be difficult to pull off. This is the kind of crap Israel and the US have to deal with. Utter and complete nonsense. Israel needs to just clear out 20 miles of Southern Lebanon, right along the Syrian border also. Israel needs to level everything in this 20 mile region and make it a no man's land. Anything that enters this zone must be taken out by a UN enforcer Army and Airforce. If not, Israel and the US can accomplish the task. This is just complete BS. The world refuses to deal with the real problem. Syria and Iran. Russia and China want them as a thorn. This is how I view the situation at this time. They are now quoting many Lebanese Hezabollah government members. Nothing has changed. Spouting complete nonsense. Why is the world silent... where are our Arab neighbors??? Unbelievable nonsense. Everyone needs to hear this stuff to realize what they want... The destruction of Israel. These are pure and complete animals. No matter how they got this way, this is what the "Lebanese freedom fighters", can you believe they call themselves this, are now. Kill. Die. Thats all they know. |

![]() A voice of sanity from Lebanon. From one of the leaders of the Lebanese effort to rid itself of Syrian troops:
“The losses are immeasurable,” said Nayla Moawad, the Lebanese minister for social affairs. Ms. Moawad blamed Syria for setting off the crisis, saying that she was expressing her personal opinion. “The decision of the Hezbollah operation was not taken in Lebanon,” she said. “Lebanon was taken a hostage, a mailbox of other people’s interests. It has been taken in Damascus, probably with an Iranian coordination.” Syria and Iran need to be "talked" to by the world in a very stern manner. They have ignited a humanitarian disaster. This brushfire is spreading. North Korea at least affords a little time. These matters need to be dealt with right now. Russia and China should step up to the plate now. If they dont, other avenues of pressure on Iran and Syria need to start NOW... or we will see this crap all over again... Massive numbers of innocent people left without homes or water because terrorist roaches live in their neighborhood. This is an opportunity to rid a small region of terrorists. This is not on the magnitude of what has happened in Africa because of ethnic hatred. But by the time this ends shame and blame on Iran and Syria. Gaza will now provide the example. Israel is planning a clean sweep. Any citizens with ammunition stored or rockets are asked to get rid of them now. |

![]() And now to Gaza:
The Qassam Brigades is the Palestinians’ largest and best organized militant group but it is not the only militia operating in the area under Palestinian control. At least six other armed groups field soldiers to fight Israel or, when there are no Israelis to fight — as was the case for nine months after Israel’s withdrawal from Gaza last year — to fight among themselves. This is what the Israelis face everyday. |

It's too bad that Israel will probably roll right through the Hezbollah cowards ... and easily establish a buffer zone. If Israel had a tougher time ... they may have had to give more serious thought to going to the source of the terror ... in Syria ... and blast the bejeezis out of Junior The Optometrist and his motley crew. Maybe next time, Junior. |

![]() I stand by my original thoughts...this will never end until Iran and Syria are dealt with...I pray that it can somehow be done non-violently but every logical, common-sense related bone in my body says the only thing that will settle this is to destroy them....please, let me be wrong!

![]() S2S,
Here's an article that might give insight. The question... Is the continuing insanity only creating more "terrorists"? http://www.commondreams.org/views06/0722-29.htm My heart breaks for the murder of innocents, the children, the aged. Short term, they are being destroyed. Long term, they'll remember. Ideas don't die. Only fools believe so. Do present Israeli actions and US support of same make us safer? I expect the fools to respond positively. |
