Dont forget Scuds, Kershaw is 21. The youngest regular starter in baseball. He will get even better. The command will get better as it always does with guys with his stuff.

He led MLB in hits allowed per 9 innings. CK had a 2.78 ERA in 31 starts. in 171 innings he allowed 119 hits. He struckout 185 batters in 171 innings. He only allowed 8 Hr's all year. The guy is one of the two or three top young pitchers in the game. Try being an Astros fan.

Another Philly pet bitch. Stop excusing the guy's lack of nad. He's a scared choke with good stuff. We collect them. He's got the stuff to pitch like he did against the Rocks in game 161. He didn't do it in any of the opportunities in the post. He was lucky St. Louis didn't destroy him. He wasn't challenging people that day, either. He is scared. Honeycunt is mediocre (just for Danzig, I'll say "very mediocre.") There were no dominant pitching efforts by his students in the post. We need somebody with more in that spot. That tentative pitching by his students in the post should be proof that he is not the one to teach a future ace. He will continue to produce candy a-s-s types like Brox n' Billingsley. That's where Sandy Ker Gone is headed. He will get better with his stuff, but he will not be quite what he should be, and he will choke in the post. Look..You call it whining, but look at these pitching efforts in the post. Ker had no control in either effort. Randy struggled early on with control, and seems to always struggle with that. Give Kuroda a pass, because he is probably not telling the truth about his health. He certainly had no idea where the ball was going (none.) Padilla isn't Honeycunt's student. Sherril certainly had virtually no control. There is a theme (pitchers choking in the post.) Seems obvious that this is not the guy to be in their ear. He certainly has done zero zip nada to get Brox to challenge people with his best stuff early in the count. I just see pitchers acting scared under this pitching coach. You know, this was a scared junk pitcher when he was pitching here. He is the last one to be teaching men how to compete on a pitching mound. Your boy Sandy Ker Gone better get a new teach, or you're gunna keep talking about post-season potential (instead of actual post-season results.) Look!! One time. Does Brox have a ton of talent? Fk yea. Does Billingsley? Fk yea. Does Kuroda? Oh fk yea. Ask the Cubs about these three. Does Sandy Ker Gone have talent? Oh, si senor!! Well, they are all choking in the post, and all have the same teacha. What about the skinny tall brotha? They managed to f him up, too. That's 5 guys that are under-producing. At least one should be a post-season ace. They aren't. The only guy pitching to his ability is Randy, and (like you said) he isn't that good.

You didn't see me write that. Should ignore what these mouths on T.V. keep saying. They don't watch these teams like each day. They just read up on them. It's like when they say the Dodgers haven't lost that many games in the 9th when Brox has come in. No, he often gets out of the inning with a tie game. That's acceptable to this woman. Then, they lose in extras. Hell, you've seen this guy blow the pivotal game 4 the last two years in the NLCS. How the fk do they call that the best bulley in the National League? For the record, I thought that Lackey deserved to pitch to at least Texieria. (I know total 2nd guess).

Get real. If you can't see the effect that horrible call had on the game than you need to take off your Yankee colored glasses. Bad calls may even out over the course of the season but since the Angels only have 2 more innings left in theirs because of the latest tragic call, it probably wont "even out" will it?

I think it's worse to force someone to get 4 outs than it is to keep someone from seeing another pitch. Ethier was called out in the top of the 9th in game 4. That was not a strike, but I don't think it was nearly as bad as that Lackey strike not being called.

I thought it was a strike. It was almost as if the ump was looking curve and he, like Posada was totally fooled by the pitch.

Lackey was tiring. If he'd of gotten that strike, then it's not an issue. I've seen him lose his concentration when he's both angry n' tired. It gets ugly, and that's why Scioscia got him out of there. That's a choke pitch from Oliver. I think it's the right move, but people need to pitch. Lackey usually tires in the 6th, or 7th.

I thought he deserved the benifit of the doubt, especially after the way he pitched. I would rather lose with my ace than with an almost 40 year old retread (granted he had a nice season).
And yeah that was a hangin puss ball he lobbed in to Texieria.
