Okay I'm hearing he's set for the race in Turkey and looking really good!

Let me know if your connections are saying the same.

Turkey??????????

Why are they sending him there??

Having said that, i did a project on Turkish racing and in relation to the size of their racing organisation, they have the most amount of prize money in the world.

I will send someone a text later. But if you have heard he is set for the race, i imagine he has already left.

Just spoken to my friend. He said the last he heard was that he was going, but he's working in the pre training yard at the moment, so he doesn't know if he has left yet or not.

I would have thought he has.

It's the same race that Willie Haggas sent Brunel to run in a few years ago, which i remember now.

We had a Turkish racing 'guru' come to speak to us at College in my final year, we were all expecting him to be a kebab eating eastern european...... he came in and it turns out he was a poiceman from Liverpool who just had a lot of racing contacts in Turkey. It was very interesting though. Apparently the amount of gang land corruption there is in racing over there is unbelieveable.

Got a message from my friend in the States. He said that Ashkal Way has been retired and apparently a girl who works for TVG has got him to be a riding horse.

That's all he could say though, he didn't know who it was from TVG.

This is what he said:

"Hey, how ya doing? Yeah he's off to be a girl from TVG's pony. As far as I know she was gonna start riding him just the other day. "

I really don't know.

It wasn't until i remembered this Turkish race that i remembered about him.

By the way, no hard feelings for Caradak, but i'm going for Traffic Guard...... i've followed him since he ran so well in the UAE Derby behind Asiatic Boy.

Will ask for you, but he doesn't usually get back to me until the early hours because of the time difference, and i will be gone until Sunday. I will ask, but you might be quicker if you email the track or something.

All of the winners were odds on though

I was talking to the jockey who rode Trees Of Green the other night, lets just say he wasn't too nice about the horse!!

EDIT: sorry, one of the winners was 11/8, but even so. Should have won.

I hope Kirklees wins tomorrow, he really should

MMSC, just to let you know that Gold Sovereign who won on his debut today is, and i quote "pretty useful". He has been working will with Desert Authority and could make into quite a nice three year old.

By the way, Desert Authority is on his way back and should be back on the track soonish. I really like him.
