Default Is anyone else snowed in?

I could brave the drive to the CBY today I guess... but it's a straight up blizzard here in MPLS. Are my Chi-town people having the same proioblems today?

Had the first four legs of the Magna, then ran second in the last race with the horse I singled. I left Trackside, took two steps out the front door, then slipped on the ice and fell on my ass. I really wanted to kick myself in the ass anyway for singling that last leg, but the slip and fall really did the trick instead.

down here in arkansas, multiple tornadoes and hail, etc. some folks still missing. luckily we were further north and missed all the bad weather. weren't sure we would have a house to come back to, but everything's good here. but about an hour north/northeast, it got pretty bad. national guard was called out to help with the cleanup. 27 injured so far over there-little place on the map called Dumas.

14 inches of snow last night. Suppose to get another 10-15 inches tonight (currently about 4 inches has fallen). And another 4-6 inches throughout tomorrow during the day.

I hate snow.

Had enough on Valentine's Day and then the wind got into the 30+ inches.
My back hasn't recovered yet from the shoveling!

Wow, I lucked out apparently.

Today is my first day of my new schedule of working 830-530 so you can imagine how nervous i got listening to PMayjr and AJ talk about snow.

Looks like it snowed here about 3 inches or so and it appears to have frozen but the drive to work wasn't TOO bad.

Hopefully it's not followed by a ton more today!

For NW Suburban Chicago they were originally predicting 10-12 inches. I'd say we got about 3. If weather forecasters are as bad at handicapping horses as they are weather, they'd go broke awfully quick.

Here too , its just, wet, cold, windy, and sloppy. Nothing to get too excited about. It looks like travel is not a real problem.

North of Chicago by 75 miles and we got nailed!!!! Probably 1 hr of shoveling now followed by 3-4 hrs of snow mobliling and then the NASCAR race from CA will be the plans for the day.

JJP,
They predicted 10-12 inches in the MPLS area, and unfortunately the weather casters got paid. We got just about that, and we're supposed to get another couple of inches today. When it's all said and done though, I'll take this **** over the sub-zero weather anyday. Because when we get these blizzards, we get them when it's in the 20s-30s. We just got out of a 3 week cold snap that gave us sub zero temps everyday. Snow will go away after a few days... that cold stuff never seems to go away when it comes.

We got pounded again. Last night I was on 53 going West from Wooddale and it was RIDICULOUS. There was about 5 inches ON THE HIGHWAY, they didn't even have one lane plowed. Saw about four cars either GO INTO a rail or into another car.....
