I predicted this of course but it is amazing how Phil somehow gets by week after week. Despite the fact that everyone including the judges have said that the girls greatly outshine the guys, there are now 4 guys and 3 girls left!

I really don't think Stern has that much impact, Sanjaya gets a LOT of votes from young girls...then again, I may be over-estimating the intellect of the public again.

This early in the game his voters are definitely having an impact. Sangina hasn't been in the bottom 3 yet.

I saw it coming too, though I hoped she would skate by another week or two, though after last night I had a hard time coming up with a convincing case for her to stay.

The humor Gods however, played a cruel joke on Haley, allowing her to sing better tonight than last night -- even after crying.

Perhaps if she had another go round, she would sob before each performance?

You know, I thought the same thing...she seemed more relaxed tonight and I wasn't distracted by her legs. One thing that makes me feel badly for her is the fact that you could tell from her response to Seacrest earlier in the show that she was hurt by Simon's remarks last night...it's a shame she had to go out on that note. I've been tough on Sanjaya but that made me think...these kids work hard and put themselves out there, we probably should all step back a bit from the harsh criticism, especially as it relates to them personally...saying someone sang poorly is one thing, ridiculing them as Simon and Randy do to Sanjaya is another.
