Nat'l PK4 SAT - early look
Rain is in the forecast for both Keeneland and Oaklawn on SAT. The NTRA National PK4 has been a success since its inception with it's large pools and payoffs. Personally, I have had some nice scores and always look forward to it. Let's take an early look.
Leg 1 - Keeneland - G2 Commonwealth BC #6 Ryan's for Real - Razor sharp form, must translate it to the poly from LRL. #7 Midnight Lute - Packing bullets and won G3 Perryville last fall at KEE. #8 Silent Name (Jpn) - Has been keeping G1 company on the lawn. #10 Gin and Sin - 7yr Gelding could light up the tote board. #12 High Finance - Career best came at same distance & similar layoff. PP? #3 Straight Line - Due to run a big one. Training steadily at KEE. Leg 2 - Keeneland - G1 Blue Grass #4 Street Sense - Could regress and still win. Looks to take the rubber match. #7 Great Hunter - G1 winner at KEE will benefit from a hot pace. Leg 3 - Oaklawn - Instant Racing BC #6 Wellofaprize - Training super for '07 bow for new trainer. This barn usually sends them ready (understatement of the year). #8 Angel Smoke - Grey filly has improved with every start. #5 Nice Inheritance - Looks to rebound off wide dull effort in the Win Star Oaks for Asmussen. #10 Chatham - Overbrook homebred should have no problems going around two turns for Stewart. Leg 4 - Oaklawn - G2 Arkansas Derby #2 Curlin - With the defection of Ketchikan, he should make short work of this field. Showed he's a quick learner in dominating the Rebel off the pace. Nat'l PK4 - 3 6 7 8 10 12 with 4 7 with 5 6 8 10 with 2 = $48 Good Racing Luck

Haven't taken a really long look at the national pick 4 yet, but would not leave Ramsgate out of the mix in the Commonwealth.
Absolutley loves the synthetic stuff. |

i love the ntra pick 4, i even created a thread about them a while back, i think they need to do more of these, possibly once a month, it could help bring intrest to the sport.

And I'm not just saying the feature race, but it seems he doesn't do well the rest of the card either. But I agree, as for this Saturday, there's nothing at Santa Anita that would really have made him think twice about going to Keenland, if asked. |

I agree Gus, there is blood in the water for tomorrows national 4 and have also scored, this pool, years past. A very, very strong case can be made that neither Street Sense or Curlin will win; at some 6-5 and 9-5 respectively. Yet the former is almost certainly the Derby winner, if not more, and the latter is an exciting prospect by any measure. BBB
