Default Funny Cide at Woodbine this weekend

Funny Cide is scheduled to arrive at Woodbine Friday to prepare for a start in the July 1 Dominion Day Handicap. Maybe he puts in a little better showing then Wanna Runner did.

Wanna Runner was awful. I sure hope FC runs well up there. I think FC will love the racing surface and the turns at Woodbine.

I hope it isn't too hot there. I know he hates hot, humid weather.

Rats love cool temps and the majority live underground like in the movie "First Blood", when Rambo was attacked by rats as he was trying to escape from the cops underground.

In the Derby he beat Peace Rules, Empire Maker, and Offlee Wild. I don't think I would call those "bad horses."
Speaking of that crop of 3yo.........I read somewhere that Santa Anita Derby winner Buddy Gil had been unretired at the age of six and is back in training. Does anybody know if that is true?

Preakness maybe, but the Derby had Offlee Wild, Empire Maker, Peace Rules, amongst others...hardly terrible.

Offlee Wild was hardly the same horse in May 2003 as he became later in his career.

Empire Maker was the best horse but the foot bruise the week prior did him in. He was not 100% IMO

Peace Rules was a very good horse - game as hell if he wanted to be, but most of the others IMO were terrible...

Empire Maker wasn't beating FC in the derby and he wasn't beating him in the Preakness either (too bad he couldn't show up for that one). FC won the derby, Empire Maker did not. Case closed. Enough with this EM being a better horse garbage.

Yeah, not like he beat him in the Wood Memorial and Belmont...wait he did - oops. Not like the foot injury and his time away from the track was not well covered by the media...wait it was. On THAT day Funny Cide was the better horse like last year in the BC Mile Artie Schiller was better than Leroidesanimaux. However, if Funny Cide and Empire Maker square off 10 times, I like Empire Maker in 8 of them

We all know who the better horse was 1st Sat, but geez give Funny cide some credit. He has 2 legs of the Triple Crown. Empire Faker has only 1 and was trained by an absolute jerk. Nobody I know was ever a fan of Empire Faker.

Off tracks, both times he beat him I believe. Who cares about your 8 out of 10 time scenario. We live in the real world. EM never beat FC on a fast track, did he? Anyway you look at it, EM lost the big one. Enough with the excuses for that horse.

I give Funny Cide plenty of credit. I love the horse, I love the fact that he's still racing. Hell, when I look down right now I realize that I'm wearing a t-shirt of his that i bought on ebay. On the wall in my "sports room" hangs an 8x10 pic of his signed by Santos. I was not at all a fan of Empire Maker, not at all, was just saying who I believed was the better horse in response to another poster. I would love nothing more than Funny Cide to be competitive on a Grade 1 level - unfortunately that isnt the case...
