Default P!nk

So I guess that I'm about a year (57 weeks, to be exact) behind the times, because I never even knew that her last record came out.

I loved her second record, but then her last one was just terrible, so I had sort of written her off as going overboard.

Thanks to an appearance on Ellen and Idol, I downloaded her "new" record.

And oh boy, it's delicious pop meets old school arena rock with huge choruses and her usual huge voice carrying it.

I'd suggest checking it out if you like that kind of music at all. Better late than never.

I have to DL that song from ITunes tonight, because it wasn't on the version of the CD I downloaded -- I realized that on my drive to work today.

I just liked her personally from the beginning and while she may be a little bit more on the pop side with this record, I can't stop listening to it.

I f*cking love this album. I bought it last year for "Stupid Girls" and the album became my soundtrack for the summer. How awesome is "Leave Me Alone, I'm Lonely?"

"Dear Mr. President" is a little on-the-nose for my taste (yes, I know you're all slack-jawed. I'm sure Timm thought it would be my ring tone), but I'm so impressed the song got banned from several high schools. Who manages to get themselves banned from high schools these days? And for a political song? Good on ya, Pink! I wish she'd been around when I was a teenager- I could have really used her music then. "Outcasts and girls with ambition" indeed.

Back in my day it was Frankie Goes to Hollywood getting banned in my school. Such a simpler time...

At this rate, it's going to be my soundtrack for this summer! I'm of course enjoying "Who Knew" but I've really been going crazy over "Long Way To Happy."

Pink is the goods.. Uptempo stuff great, but 'Family Portrait' probably my favorite of hers..

Default Pink

From one racing fan to others, not only is Pink as good as some of us recognize, she's even better.Go to one of her concerts.Great music ,gives 110% every night, great voice and stage presence, every kind of song performed, and the finale is an acrobatic performance while she sings Get The Party Started that is better than most circus high flying acts.If you don't believe me check out the Youtube videos of her concerts, the clearest being from Wembley Arena.
