Default Great photos of Rags' Belmont

The NY Times has a lovely slide show of photos from the race, from stumble to carnations. Here's the link to the article on the Belmont; on the left hand side of the article there's a link to the slide show:

Oooh- apologies, Merlinsky; I didn't realize you'd already posted this link in another thread- I conked out after getting home from the Belmont and just started reading all the threads. Okay, I tried last night, but fell asleep with my computer in my lap.

In that first photo with her stumbling out of the gate, you can see how washed out Hard Spun was.

Twere all like that. Robby was wiping sweat off Curlins neck with his crop before the race, Curlin looked real sweaty loading. They all did. The commentators said it was because of the humidity and the horses werent washed out.

It was crazy humid.
