Default Summit of Speed card (Calder 7/7)...

... I haven't started 'cappin it yet, but the field sizes look good. Let's pray for fast and firm so it doesn't turn into a scratch-fest.

Mach Ride might just get the perfect set-up, but is he fast enough? Trujillo is hotter than a pistol now and the 6 others all seem to want or need the lead. Weigelia got screwed on the post draw. Smokey Stover got the perfect post. I'm leaning towards a 6-7 box, and using 6 and 7 in pick 3's,4's,5's. If Fab Strike beats me oh well. I'll probably use him on back-up tickets.

Its going to be a heckuva race to watch, either way!!

Rain has been the theme late in the afternoon the last week and will continue throughout the weekend. This race being late in the afternoon, I would definately handicap as if it will be sloppy.

The horse Mach Ride drilled came back and ran 3rd for 100k. Thats the Panamanian import/us export Golden Strategy. Very nice horse. Hes a sprinter, they routed on the grass and he faded in deep stretch.

I give Mach Ride a more than better chance to beat Stover, and Strike. He seems to be going in the right direction

I see a Pick 5 starting R7. Does anyone know if the base is $1 or 2?

Rob,

How's the weather been holding up? And what have the track conditions been the past few days?

DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! I hope they do what they can to give us "yielding" lol. Otherwise 2 or 3 of those races just went from being 10-horse fields to 5.

I remember in '05, there was damn near a hurricane the day before the Summit and somehow they still ran the Summit turf races on the grass the next day. There aren't any hurricanes in the area this time, but it looks like Miami is just going to get pelted with storms all week.

they will do everything possible to keep the turf races on the turf. Especially because the 8th race is part of a guaranteed pool. The rain hasn't been coming until around 4pm daily.

The bigger question is which race will Unbridled Sydney race in the female or male turf sprint. They are both 100k.

yesbyjimminy has a big shot at 6-1. he just missed against street magician and loves the track ( 8--4-1-2 )

finallymade it has a decent shot too at 6-1 as well

throwing teuflesberg out. he will be overbet off of his w stephens win

The weather channel says rain tonight, but will clear out around midnight. Will be clear until late afternoon tomorrow. As I said, please just give me a yielding turf lol.
