The most conservative assessment of the flights being taken by its superstars is that they are flying an extraordinary 222,623.63 miles between them to get to the various concerts - nearly nine times the circumference of the world. The true environmental cost, as they transport their technicians, dancers and support staff, is likely to be far higher.

The total carbon footprint of the event, taking into account the artists' and spectators' travel to the concert, and the energy consumption on the day, is likely to be at least 31,500 tonnes of carbon emissions, according to John Buckley of Carbonfootprint.com, who specialises in such calculations.

Throw in the television audience and it comes to a staggering 74,500 tonnes. In comparison, the average Briton produces ten tonnes in a year.

The concert will also generate some 1,025 tonnes of waste at the concert stadiums - much of which will go directly into landfill sites.

Thank you, Mr. Mackey, students of South Park Elementary -- I'm here to educate you about the single biggest threat to our planet. You see, there is something out there which threatens our very existence and may be the end of the human race as we know it. I'm talking of course about... Manbearpig.

It is a creature which roams the earth alone. It is half man, half bear, and half pig. Some people say that Manbearpig isn't real. Well, I'm here to tell you know, Manbearpig is very real, and he most certainly exists -- in fact, I have pictures.

If your caught speeding at 100mph with tons of illegal drugs in the car does your sentence get offset if the culprit is driving a Prius? Do as I say and not as I do? Way to go Bubba Gore!!!!! Great concert, you woke up a bunch of people especially those within earshot of the venues. All 500 lol.
PS Your son named after you needs you!! If you forgot his name look at your driver's license. Keep up the good work....

DaHoss,
Good points.
