Default Carothers - Monmouth

Dude is such a clown. While I am not a fan of most TVG people and can see how people think Carothers is annoying, he reminds me of a less funny Kenny Mayne. I enjoy both of them very much. Carothers has a little bit of a clue regarding handicapping also.

It's his track to shine. Speed or right off the pace horses win the majority of the time. He'd get more credibility if he wasn't such a metro.

I love that he goes right down to the normal working class families...good for racing to show people that it's not just degenerate gamblers that go to races!

He relates well to the bar girl in the Monmouth paddock, kids, experienced handicappers on site! Good for him.

PS I've met him a couple of times at Belmont on the day PRIOR to Belmont and Fall Championship days. Really good guy to have a beer with!

Seems like a good guy.....doesn't care too much about the whole etiquette thing and that's cool.....rolled right in with the umbrella dwellers and ask for opinions....I like him....also I Gary Stevens is head and shoulders better than Bailey imo.....

Joe looked a little aged that is for sure. But he is still one cool guy.

I agree with everyone here according to Carruthers. He really enjoys what he is doing, his passion for the game is awesome, his knowledge is above avg and when he makes a pick he has real good logic as to why he picked that horse.

He seems to really have a passion for racing. As much as he is a little clowny and metro, I like him.

The problem for Matty boy is not his knowledge but the volume of opinions these guys have to give to keep the gig going.

No one can pick that many horses and keep churning out winners.

He is far more enjoyable than Todd or the Eclipse killer!!
