NOOOOOO! Sightseek, you won't like this
The amount of swear words coming out of my mouth now. Just logged onto the Racing Post website, and i see this headline:
Spencer replaces Marwing on Asiatic for York feature I don't know whether to laugh, cry or just go bash my head against the nearest wall. There goes my selection in the Juddmonte! Story from Racing Post by Tony Elves JOCKEYS' title leader Jamie Spencer is to replace Weichong Marwing aboard Asiatic Boy when he takes on Authorized, Notnowcato and George Washington in the Juddmonte International. Marwing, who was not due to return to his native South Africa until after the York race on August 21, is understood to have gone home early for personal reasons and will also miss the ride aboard Asiatic Boy's stablemate Irridescence in the US on Saturday. Johnny Murtagh takes the ride on the mare. Marwing was aboard Asiatic Boy when he finished fourth, beaten just two lengths, by Ramonti in the Sussex Stakes last week, the Argentinean-bred colt's first outing since he hacked up by nine and a half lengths from Jack Junior in the UAE Derby at Nad Al Sheba at the end of March. Spencer is likely to have the opportunity to ride his big-race mount in work early next week. Trainer Mike de Kock said on Saturday: “Asiatic Boy definitely goes for the Juddmonte and I think he has come on for his run in the Sussex. He was a bit ring rusty at Goodwood and Jamie Spencer will ride him at York.” Irridescence will be ridden by Murtagh in Chicago on Saturday when she takes on the best American turf fillies in the Grade 1 Beverly D Stakes, highlight of the Arlington Million support card. Murtagh was the architect of the South African mare's downfall in the Falmouth Stakes when he gave Simply Perfect a canny front running ride to beat the Marwing-ridden Irridescence at the July meeting. De Kock is delighted to have secured Murtagh's services. “I have always been impressed with Johnny Murtagh,” he said. “He rode Asiatic Boy to win for me in Dubai this winter and I have always admired him as a jockey. “Irridescence has travelled well,” de Kock added. “She is a quirky filly and lost a little weight but her her work has been good backing up to this race.” Authorized continued his build up towards the Juddmonte International when working under Frankie Dettori on the Limekilns round gallop on Tuesday morning. The exercise over around nine furlongs was completed in workmanlike rather than spectacular fashion as the Derby winner, the 7-4 favourite for the International with Coral, ranged up alongside Striving Storm (John Lowe) but connections were pleased enough with what they saw. Trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam said: “I was very pleased and Frankie said he gave him a nice feel. The plan was to give him plenty to do and Authorized was going through the motions, plus Striving Storm is in very good form at present. “We have still got two weeks to the race so we'll start building up now.” Earlier on the same stretch his older adversary Notnowcato showed no sign of any recent problems with a corn when working with plenty of sparkle under regular work rider Gary Forster. Notnowcato streamed clear of his companion and looks on target to try to bid for a successive victory in the Group 1 event after short heading stablemate Maraahel 12 months ago. Notnowcato was possibly given one of the rides of the season when ploughing a lone furrow up the stands rails when beating Authorized a length and a half in the Eclipse Stakes at Sandown and connections of the latter will no doubt ensure that they will be eyeballing the Sir Michael Stoute-trained horse at York. Juddmonte International Coral: 7-4 Authorized, 5-2 Notnowcato, 3 George Washington, 8 Asiatic Boy, 14 Distant Way, 20 Passage Of Time, 40 Pressing, Salford Mill, 66 Hattan, Kandidate

Hopfully, the horse will have enough ability to get Spencer out of trouble.

UAE press.....
Marwing returns home early (no author listed) Weichong Marwing will not be attempting to follow up Asiatic Boy’s UAE Derby win in the Juddmonte International Stakes on Tuesday week (copyright Dubai Racing Club) Top international trainer at Nad Al Sheba, Mike De Kock, faces a huge fortnight with stable stars Asiatic Boy and Irridescence facing the starter - but not under regular jockey Weichong Marwing. Jamie Spencer is to replace Marwing aboard Asiatic Boy when he takes on Authorized, Notnowcato and George Washington in the Juddmonte International. And Johnny Murtagh rides Irridescence in the Beverly D at Arlington in the US on Saturday. The news comes as a surprise as Marwing was not due to return to his native South Africa until after the York race on August 21. According to De Kock’s website: “Marwing’s decision came as a surprise to Mike de Kock and his patrons and De Kock said he was disappointed. “Marwing, in turn, would not be drawn into lengthy comment, saying that he will be taking a short break.” Marwing was aboard Asiatic Boy when he finished fourth, beaten just two lengths, by Ramonti in the Sussex Stakes last week, the Argentinean-bred colt’s first outing since he hacked up by nine and a half lengths from Jack Junior in the UAE Derby at Nad Al Sheba at the end of March. De Kock told the Racing Post: “Asiatic Boy definitely goes for the Juddmonte and I think he has come on for his run in the Sussex. He was a bit ring rusty at Goodwood and Jamie Spencer will ride him at York.” Murtagh was the architect of Irridescence’s downfall in the Falmouth Stakes when he gave Simply Perfect a canny front running ride to beat the Marwing-ridden Irridescence at the July meeting. Seems very strange. Do you think Marwing and De Kock have had some sort of fall out? I can't imagine he would make changes to his return date when he has a very good chance of riding Asiatic Boy to victory later this month, unless he had very good reason. I hope everything is okay with Marwing. I'd hate to see a great partnership of him and De Kock fall apart.
