Default Interesting move by Churchill

Churchill will no longer release end of meet stats for the racetracks they own. Apparently, they feel that they are getting the short end of the stick by the analysts.

The story is in DRF

This is yet another move by Churchill that I don't understand. They make some weird PR moves, like not even granting media credentials to TVG for the Derby. A "Screw the World" attitude doesn't work that well in an industry that is filled with other tracks to spend you money.

This move will not matter that much, because analysts will simply get the figured from Equibase, even if they are a bit off, and continue what they have been doing.

I just don't understand how CD works, sometimes.

how in the world could attendance and handle not be considered key metrics for a company that operates race tracks?
wait until handle and attendance go up, then they'll suddenly find that once again these are key metrics and will publish them.
i also don't like the way this company operates.
