That's a shame. Jocks father was the trainer, looks like a family affair, not sure if they owned him too.
RIP KG.

Super Frolic..... vanned off today at Presque Isle Downs.

There's a blurb on BH but any additional news is appreciated. Hope he'll be okay.

A poster from another board says that they were there and overheard a radio conversation with the vet saying that it was bad and there were bones sticking out. So it does not sound good.
Also said that he did go down after the jock jumped off before the outrider got there.
Crossing fingers....

Is it really necessary/productive every time a horse breaks down for the proponents/opponents of artificial surfaces to put in a post (frequently with exclamation points despite the tragedy involved) to somehow justify the poster's view of the subject?

I could make a long list of the Belmont injuries but I choose not to. I am sorry for any injuries suffered by any horse on any surface.

Face it... they happen on both surfaces. What opponents of polytrack or cushion or tapeta or whatever need to realize, right or wrong, that with all the money that the tracks invest in those surfaces, THEY'RE NOT GOING AWAY! So say what you want, BUT IT WON'T CHANGE ****!

yes, they do. so it really doesn't aid an argument from either side.

That's what I read as well on drf and bh.
Then I saw something on another forum. That's why I stated it saying a poster on another board said they were at PID. It seems to be a credible and regular poster. The reaction from other posters on that forum seemed to find this a credible post also.

I haven't read MMSC thread regarding Super Frolic but will read it now.

I have no agenda regarding artificial as opposed to dirt.

Unfortunately breakdowns will occur on all surfaces, sometimes it can be due to poor management, but it can be as equally attributed simply due to an accident of a mis-step or a stumble, or anything else that can happen racing at 35 mph.

Still crossing my fingers for Super Frolic.

(Edit) Well I just read the Super Frolic thread and apparently it is confirmed he is not with us anymore. He was a nice horse.
