Question Question...if you had a W/P on the Hopeful Stakes...

If someone was to give you $500 to place a win or show bet on the Hopeful Stakes, who would you bet on & win or place wager.....need a little guidance from the D.T. members on what they would do if given such a bet. Thanks in advance.

I'd take a shot with Majestic Warrior to win.

I want Ready's Image to win but I'd probably bet to place as well. My "place bets" percentage is much higher than my win bets.

I'd bet it to place and use the proceeds (hopefully) make an investment in the next DT offering

It will a "place" wager...either one of the favorites, post time call.
Much like Mission Approved yesterday for Steve & the D.T. posters,
thanks to the "Capital OTB - "Battle of Toga" my meet will be in the "black" !

Mark, Martin had the pick 3 yesterday 3 times with Mission Approved! We are capping right now for the Pick 6 and heading over to the track. Great seeing you again!

The wager was $500 to place in the Hopeful.....

on.....READY'S IMAGE

figured he had the experience edge over Maimonides, but the winner; Majestic Warrior, looked great in the paddock and was much the best & with a bright future ahead of him. $2.10 to place = $525 for the $500 place bet. That with the $260 or so also in my phone-a-bet from the contest and this year's Saratoga meet will show a profit...the first time since 1992. Sad the meet is over, but a break is needed since handicapping each day since the Aqueduct Inner-track meet!

Glad you picked the right horse to put your place wager on, showing a profit at this meet is impressive
