Lawyer Ron was just more impressive. La Traviata was probably the most impressive horse all meet though if you ask me.

I'm leaning towards discreet cat myself.

Street Sense may have the crowd power, following, etc. -- however, in my mind, Lawer Ron truly stood out. Incredible performance. Off that, is there a better horse in training? Tough case to make.

Give it to Funny Cide. I don't care if he's not running!

Although I still think Street Sense has a better chance at winning the BCC than Lawyer Ron, the horse of the meet at Saratoga would have to go to LR. He won his races easily, ran better figs than SS, and set a NTR in the process. Even his many skeptics were impressed.

More a maatter of having conviction in what you see and think than anything else. Short run, you can be wrong about a horse like LR. But, really, what does it matter if you're wrong about a 4/5 shot? In the long run, your convictions are good and your results hold up. That's all that matters. As a fan, sure the big G1's are important but as a bettor, they are pretty insignificant imo. We all get tunnel vision. With me, it tends not to be having a bad opinion on a G1 or other stakes horse but rather it tends to be that I convince myself of seeing things on replays that just aren't there (or are not as significant as I think), resulting in bad playbacks. But I wouldn't trade my approach of looking for solid plays on mid-class horses for any other approach. I just wish these hallucinations I've been having for the past month would stop.

Lawyer Ron beat the same group of horses in both of his races going to the same distance and Street Sense did the same as Lawyer Ron. Lawyer Ron just did his more impressively. My vote would have to go to Lawyer Ron.
