Default 9/13: Belmont (4th-9th; C/O)

Received consistant disappointments at Belmont Wednesday from the outset when Romans' Princess Westly (4-1) fell a head short in 4th and day went downhill from there..

Classic Marilyn (13-1), subject of a detailed angle concept, faded to photo My Nine Rose (4-1) for 4th after taking the 5th race set most of the way.. Quashed a healthy exacta box try with winner Follow My Dream (7-2). The 9th was a fitting end to a bad day as Brogue (7-2), troubled in last at the Spa, got second late under Sleeping Indian (2-1), but trifecta key eluded me with Sam's Marque (8th at 11-1) and Cherokee Flare (6th at 9-2) unable to round the play. Not a good afternoon... Hope you did OK..

Carryover seemed inevitable early on, and $41,000 kitty starts the Thursday sextet..

Keep going over the P6 while awaiting scratches, and it's a VERY tricky group of races.. 4 maiden events (two on the grass) and 2 turf sprints including the super tough NYB ALW as the feature.. Right from the 4th, which is inscrutable as can be, this could easily go unhit... A series of 3rd and 4th choices winning could send it to Friday...

Hoping the scratch board offers some help...

RE: Unrestricted, I wasn't impressed with her last race all that much and I think this is an opportunity to bet against her. She obviously had some issues in getting to the races and in this case, I am not too much of a fan of the turnback. I don't think the talent is there, and MR. B just picked her, so anyone that plays this should be golden until the last leg

Default Belmont 5th

I really like the #6: Putnam County. Up against a torrid pace last out for first race after being on the shelf for four months. Also, stumbled out the gate. Weaver has positive ROI sprint to route and Beja up.

And at 13/1 me likes!

Well, got a distant third.

6Th race: #5 Lieutenant: Like breeding and trainer's normally low numbers flash up when off lay off, dirt to turf, and turf starts. Looks to have a good race.

Well THAT cleans up yesterday's mess! Key of Sundaysunday solves all ills with the crazy overlay 2nd at 50-1 and logical Cosmic 3rd..

Gives a good start to P4 as well, though I don't like my play at all going forward..

Hockey,

Like anything out of Danhill and Brisnet had highest turf breeding number. Wish I would have teamed up with Steve's selection for a $560 exacta...
