Boras said during a telephone interview Rodriguez made his choice because he was uncertain whether Mariano Rivera, Jorge Posada and Andy Pettitte would return to the Yankees.

"Alex's decision was one based on not knowing what his closer, his catcher and one of his statured pitchers was going to do," Boras said.

I did not know A-Rod owned the Yankees.
Has anyone informed George and Son...

I'm not a Boras fan.....guess he's strictly a money guy! Probably the biggest sigh of relief was heard form the Texas Rangers...off the hook for 72mil

Low class, high desperation move to have his agent announce this during the last game of the World Series.

At least now he's done something in October.

Now c'mon, A-Rod proved his worth in postseason this year hitting a solo 8th inning home run when trailing 6-2 in game 4. How clutch was that?? that event was more clutch than Beckett now wasnt' it??

Yeah the Yanks were having the Rangers pay most of his salary anyway. I think the Rangers were putting up $20 million a year towards it. They are the ones sighing relief.
