Default My Dog--Pebbles

our dog is missing and we now fear for the worst. The poor thing was already blind to begin with and were guessing my grandpa left the door open when it took the dog out for a walk and poop. It's been two days, we didnt mind it the first night because the dog usually walks around at night to its water bowl and roams around the house before going to its sleep spot, or goin into the bedroom and snuggles up to our feet. As a last ditch effort my brother is waiting for the animal shelter to open just in case it might be there.

To those who lost a pet, how do you deal? I feel kinda numb right now, the dog deserved better

You pray to all the saints, I'm not even catholic, but they have twice answered my prayers. One I got back alive, and the other well I found him dead, but at least I knew what happened, St. anthony answered my prayers.
St. Francis and St. Roch, St. Christopher and mainly to Saint Anthony.

St. Anthony, St. Anthony, please come down, something is lost and can't be found.

Have you put up fliers in your neighborhood, tell all the neighbors, kids, police will usually keep an eye, offer a reward. If Pebbles is blind she probably didn't get too far, look in very unusual places, go shake some kibble in her bowl you might hear her whine. Ask if you can put a flier up at a local school, vets, shopping mall, you need lots of eyes.

It is numbing, I do hope you find Pebbles.

Best of luck with this. In addition to what has been suggested:
  • Go to Petfinder.com and register your lost pet
  • If there is local Craig's List post there
  • Let all vet offices know that your dog is missing
  • Call the local authorities - there is usually someone who is in charge of this and they generally keep fairly good records about what they have found
  • Don't just put up flyers - make thousands of them and put them on/in every door way, slip one under car's wind shield wipers. Talk to the person who delivers the mail - give him/her a flyer.

Don't lose hope - I lost one of my cats for 3 weeks in a very busy neighborhood (a friend was watching him and he got out). It was awful for 3 solid weeks but in the end, I found him. While I was looking for him everyone in the neighborhood got to know me. I would drive to my friend's neighborhood every night after work to look for him. I heard kids walking around calling my cat's name (they were looking for the cat but wanted the reward).

Please keep us posted, my thoughts and prayers are with you

Glad Pebbles is home, but Jerry... why do you keep referring to him/her as an 'it?' LOL
