great article....and greatest athelete I have ever seen. What a joy it was to watch him.

Agreed, and the Nike commercial with Bo playing hockey and guitar was one of the best ever.

Does anyone know if his sons are college athletes? He had some pretty good genes.

funny you ask, i just heard that story this weekend. Bama told him he wouldn't play full time until his soph, or jr year! a couple days later auburn told him he'd start as a freshman. the rest is history.
i can't remember if i saw him in person or not?
i think was there for the wrong way bo game.

If he stuck with baseball you would have to think he would have been one of the all time greats.

If he had played football only and not been hurt you could say the same thing. That's why he is one of the greatest athletes of all time.

he ran track at auburn his freshman and i think soph. years and won the 100m in the SEC Champoinships.

That is true but he didn't even take baseball that seriously and still was an All Star which is almost impossible to do. Have to wonder how good he could have been if he had concentrated on it.
