Agents
To sell a yearling at auction is an agent required ? Must agents be licensed (this is specific to NY) ? How do you determine what agent is right for you ? Any in put on why agents are required would be appreciated by myself and others I'm sure.
Thank you. |

A consignor is needed who would act as your selling agent. They are not licensed. You determine who is right for you the same way you would determine a business partner. The reason that they are required is that the sales companies dont want to answer questions like these.

This is a pretty straight forward question about the role of agents in the business of horse racing.

I will by my own agent unless I go the auction route. That route is not at the top of my list so I will represent us.
This concludes this wildly popular thread. Thank you. Last edited by sumitas : 01-11-2008 at 11:30 AM. |
