a bit better than the derby '08--but that isn't saying a whole helluva lot!

It is a bit simple.. and for that reason I like it. It's better than trying to do too much with it.

I actually think its sharp. Simple and basic, which is always better in my opinion for a logo.

I've never liked the horse insignia. It's fruity.

It does appear that 2008 is a little off center

Is 25 symbolizing how many BC races there are now?

The more I look at it, the more I like.

Your eye should travel in a circle, and it does here. Breeders' Cup, up and around the horses head (I like the horse... much better than some of the awful TC logos) to the 25 at the bottom.

At first i thought the 25 was too big but it does have the proper weight to it.

The question of the 2008 being off centered is a good point and while i agree it should be moved over slightly, I don't actually think it's off at all.

It's an illusion..... I think it's because of the white space between the words World and Championship on top and the heaviness of the 8 that anchors the bottom inside the circle, AND the open side of the 2 gives that side and even lighter feel so that the whole thing looks outta whack when it's really not.

Another problem (shut up, i am NOT overly-critical) is the color of the 2008... I'd change it around, have that on top, World Championship at the bottom, and the same color. Again, a weight issue. Balance, damnit... it's all about composition, movement, and balance.

At least the circle is aesthetically pleasing and the horse has movement.

Okay why don't i just go run along now and leave the nice thread alone.....

It is classic and simple. I like it!

It is much better than some of the ones of the past. The focus should be the horse racing and not the location of the event.

I like it. I hate when they try to make things to gaudy or flashy. Simple is really more classy anyday.
