Maybe the Derby wont be that bad. It still might be a good race. Who knows, we may have a 4 horse photo for the win. I dont think we need speed speed speed to have a good Derby. Just a good race. To me, the year Smarty Jones won the Derby was a boring Derby. He and Lion Heart just went around the circle 1-2 the entire way--BORING.

Just to clarify.. That's just the name of my blog, not what its focus is. And the potential "total disaster" I'm referring to is the site..

Cool Joey. You're a better blogger than you give yourself credit for.
I have to admit, when I saw the thread titile, I thought you were starting another track announcer thread. Nothing polarizes race fans quicker than a good track announcer thread in the middle of the week. It is slow message board gold. Back on point, good luck and I'll be checking it out. |

it looks like a pretty good start.
one suggestion, remove the part where it says that it contains certain "musings". every freakin blogger wants to share their musings, its always my goal to avoid musings at all costs. pet peeve of mine. |

but have you noticed most people when they have a personal blog have to say that it contains their musings on this or that? |

Okay... if anyone else had written this I'd say yeah good job.
... and it IS good. The thing is expectations and reactions are related and since i expect it to be really good (shut up, you're one of my favorite writers on here ...) I couldn't help but to feel like where was that edge? That thing you're SO good at? That grab-the-reader-by-the-throat thing that you can do and that you have done. I missed that. It was good but I'll bet the next installment is better. Aaaah, memories..... http://www.derbytrail.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2329 |

That is too funny. You could have said 'updated" but I like your style so I'll help boost it a little longer.
