That means no Players Cahmpionship... I wonder how many advertisers have dropped from NBC that weeekend lol? That tourney is still TO ME more entertaining than the Brisitsh Open regardless (IMO! IMO! I know I represent the minority. I'm just not a bg fan of linx golf, sorry... I'm gonna get ripped now...)

Was (for sure) dealing with pain when getting himself out of the bunkers.Something like that could have an effect on concentration(maybe that's why Kev was talking about some poor decisionns he made.)Who knows ...

Another one that gets me was his decision to go for the 15th green in 2 on Saturday after hitting it in the left side of the fairway. To get anywhere close to the green he needed to hit a big sweeping hook. Too many negatives in that scenario, IMO. The ball didn't hook and he ends up hitting in the far right greenside bunker (pin is far left of the green) and needs to hit a perfect shot just to get it within 12 feet of the hole. If the ball did hook and land on the green instead, in all likely hood, the ball releases through the green and is in real danger of going into the water hazard behind the hole. If he is lucky enough to stay out of the water, he is then left with an incredibly difficult pitch shot that he would be lucky to get within 10 feet.

I was really surprised that he didn't lay up to a yardage that would leave him a dead hands shot with a wedge to take all the spin off the ball. He is the best in the world at that shot and a AVERAGE shot for him from that distance would still have been closer than two perfect shots he would have needed to just get the ball within 10-12 feet. He has surely made better decisions on the golf course than that.

Kev what I dont get is how he stays so healthy
swinging as hard as he does. I dont know if it
has anything at all to do with his injury.

I would definitely not call his swing a classic
smooth swing. I am suprised his hands or wrists
have not fallen off yet.

Just dont know Golf well enough I guess.
Dont see him playing as long as Gary Player.

I cringe everytime I see a golfer swing. That just has to hurt their back at some point. I do not know how they do it.

It really doesn't hurt if done correctly. It only hurts when you suck, like me

Most of the swings of today are much more athletic than they used to be. Look at the swings from the 70's and 80's and you see alot of "reverse C" finishes. The players of today are more upright when finishing their swings. One of the few that I can think of that has the old school reverse c finish is Rory Sabatinni. I wouldn't be surprised if that dudes back is shot in the next 5 years. Thats a swing that makes me cringe.

HE generally does not play well on the TPC course there. Gives him a good excuse to skip it by having the surgery now. NOt enough time between the US open and British Open or British Open and PGA to do it...Torrey Pines is one of HIS courses that he dominates...Torrey Pines, Firestone, St Andrews, the Palmer tourney course, etc.
