nobody is saying Casino Drive is the best horse ever. but he has an outside chance.

did anyone really think Smarty Jones would lose? Casino Drive has only raced twice, how do any of us know what his true potential is?

did anyone think majestic prince would lose? spectacular bid? pleasant colony, silver charm, real quiet? hell, barbaro was given the tc after his derby win. a lot of people didn't even want to wait for the preakness. smarty was a shoe in, remember penny chenery loaning the overgirth for smarty? oh, he'll do it, they all said. no one can beat him, he's much the best. i've seen/heard that so many times.

hey, maybe this time it'll happen. but maybe it won't-which is far more likely.

Exactly.

Birdstone was not as good as Smarty. Casino Drive probably isn't as good as Big Brown. Doesn't mean he can't beat him in the Belmont.

How do we know Birdstone wasn't as good as Smarty Jones?

Birdstone beat Smarty?
I was under the impression it was Eddington
and Rock Hard Ten.

Oh yes. It was Smarty who got lucky in the
Derby with the mud. And since Birdstone did
not run in the Preakness... I guess ya just never
know.

Onion ran away from Secretariat and would not be
passed. Set a track record a few weeks before
I believe also.

Mysterious stuff.

Nobody knows how good Big Brown is or how good Casino Drive is. They are both undefeated and untested. Nobody should be shocked though if Casino Drive beats him, especially in the Belmont.

No, he ran in the Derby (badly), then Zito laid him off until the Belmont he thought Birdstone ran better with well-spaced races. Which is why he didn't race him again until the Travers, and then not again until the BC Classic.

Zito knows!

He was a little thing with a big heart..Not unlike English Channel.. I think his Champagne was a a very good performance indeed. I guess he had a bunch of physical issues which precluded a big career?

His Champagne wasn't much. He went 1/5th slower than Society Selection did in the Frizette with Ganpath up.

SS came into that Frizette off of only a 5 furlong debut win at Saratoga.

Birdstone had a great debut - but never did much to impress me after that. I think he was something like 38/1 in the Belmont Stakes where he was the only thing moving late.

36/1. I thought his Travers was decent.

Softball chicks have great faces.

If you want a fit athletic chick - look to the soccer players.

However - they often have rough faces - maybe from smacking their heads against the soccer balls so much or whatever - I'm not sure why.

However - a volleyball chick is often your best chance of getting both a great face and great bod - but they don't always have the best racks.

Golf chicks at the highschool and college level tend to have the good racks - but almost never are very fit and have great faces.

Tennis chicks are straight cash.

Volleyball chicks racks look smaller because they wear so many sports bras. Ya know for all the jumping they do.
