If memory serves me right, he was scratched at the gate from probably the 6th race on May 1st, and also opened up at ridiculously short odds.

If he had used his horse's natural speed, as the field was walking through the first quarter, he never would have had a problem.

But, he won the Belmont a couple of times, don't ya know.
