Default HD for Keeneland

No wonder they are a leader within the industry, 1) They actually listen to their customers, 2) they keep up with technology

That's great. Too bad you have to be at Keeneland to see the full cards in HD.

my guess is that your OTB will be able to carry it in HD, as long as they have HDTV's, which Arlington's do....

pffft. I can't think of one OTB within a 300 mile radius that has HDTV capability.

Having the tv's doesn't equal HD capability in this instance. The satellite has to be upgraded in most cases.

The only reason Arlington did this was because Intertrack (Maywood/Balmoral) started building all these OTB's in existing restaurants and bars, surrounding Arlington and Arlington OTB. They were forced to do two things, eliminate admission fees becuase the new OTB's were free, and upgrade everything, because they were losing business left and right

I think they built about 15 within a 100 mile radius, and Arlington has about 4-5 now within this area.

My friend actually delivered all the TV's to them, 150 32" Flat screens and another 100 50" flat screens (i think)

They are all over now, both Arlington Race Course and the OTB.

Does the fact that Steve had to broadcast from Churchill this spring have anything to do with their addition of a radio broadcast studio in Phase 3?

I thought I had heard something about Yonkers having their in-house feed in HD. Anybody been there recently?

HA HA HA!
Now THAT'S a good one.

Yonkers is the absolute worst place to play, anywhere.

Hard to believe anything can compare to the first floor of the Chicago State Street OTB.

At Yonkers? Track prices. It's just dumpy for an actual track, and they don't care about horseplayers one iota now that they have slots. You have to walk up 4 flights of stairs to even find a ticket machine.
