Billingsley
This guy is 7-7 as a starter for the Dodgers. For the RedSox, or the Rangers etc. ...What would his record be?

Billingsley is a really good pitcher. Interestingly enough over his career (albeit pretty short) he has been slightly better on the road than at home which is rare for Dodger pitchers in general.
wins and losses are an overrated measuring stick for a pitcher simply because they dont really show the actual effectiveness of the pitcher. So much is dependent on run support and other things. Lowe is a great example because he is so consistent. His 2005, 2006 and 2007 seasons are eerily similar in terms of IP, Hits , ERA, BB, K's, etc. Yet he was 12-15, 16-8, and 12-14 in those three seasons. Based on wins you would think that one season he was really good and the other ones just so-so. |
