Default Newest front page column

Congratulations to Mr. Byk on another well written trip into the past of an internet horse board magnate. I'm not sure if that's the proper use of the word or not, but I've always wanted to call someone a magnate and it seems to fit here. Although I did have to google "decalouge" and still don't know what it means, the column was wonderful as always....keep up the good work!

What makes Steve good is that he never tries to be bigger than the subject at hand, which in this case is Saratoga. What makes Steve great is that he does play a role in making it even better by his involement with the subject and all of us that he drags along willingly.

Thanks Stevo,

Spyder

I got stuck at "Decalouge"...

Just kidding. Super read, I'm counting the minutes to Saturday where I will return to my favorite place on the face of the earth, the six weeks a year I'm actually proud to have grown up in Upstate NY.

See you Saturday Steve and all.

Jesustapdancingchrist. The place gets more hype than a group of fanbois talking about The Dark Knight.

I'm sure it's a great place and all but whoa with the lovefest.

Yes, there is nothing quite like Saratoga.

90 degrees. 90% humidity. No air conditioning. Raining like hell.

By the 5th race the atmosphere is suffused with it's own uniquely Saratogan mixture of sweat, manure and failing body spray deoderant.

No offense but I'll take Del Mar.

Last year's weather was perfect at Saratoga, and the racing was 100 times better than Del Mar's debacle of a season.

Hey, I worked a lot the second half of the day and you guys still tried to give me like 5% of the tips.

If Sightseeing had held on for third, it would've been a good day..
