Default Batting Practice

LOL...4-0 BEFORE THE 1ST BEER is half gone. PENNEY can't locate anything other than the center of the plate. We may have seen the best of this guy. Has looked like crap for quite some time now. He is just no good anymore. I mean they been overlooking it all year, but the guy is no good anymore. They can't keep him in the rotation when he throws stuff right down the center. Been doing that all year. Whatever was wrong with that country boy is still wrong. He was on the d.l., but he looks the same. Has no control(unless he is trying to get the center of the plate middle- up.) What you gunna do with him?

How many guys Garciaparra left on base since he came back last night? 6-9? Swinging at s-h-i-t out of the zone, and wonders why he can't get the job done. Damn, been in the league that long, and still swing at s-h-i-t nowhere near being a strike. For this here, we pay 10 million to this sickly loner btch. You think you such a genius, then wait for a pitch. Stop acting like a fool who just got a bat for Christmas. You don't have to swing at all of them.

Manny hits a 2 run homer, and the fans go insane. This guy is sooo perfect for this town. Half of them could care less about winning, but they care a lot about what Manny does. He is very entertaining, and this town craves it(even more than winning.)

They tend to let people like this off the hook, but he is struggling.

See? Sweeney bailed him out by swinging at low trash out of the zone. He is about done. He has had a nice career(done enough.)

Breath of fresh air after that clusterphuck known as the Andrew JOnes debacle, who should be cited for monetary theft.

Phillies are screwed without the long ball. I'd hate to see them play where the Twins play...

Penney gone after 3 horrible innings. He is in trouble. Didn't look very good last Friday in a short amount of innings. Looked worse tonite. He looks done(to me.) Time to buy a batting cage park, or a shooting gallery. I know he is gunna put his money into something with guns. I saw his whole family on T.V. shooting at some food. His mom may even have been the best shot.

LONEY=WAY COLD

MARTIN= COLD

Garciaparra=ICICLE

As long as that's true, they will have trouble coming all the way back on you. Those are outs you can kind of rely on.

I dont know Scuds, Ive seen the Phils play long enough to know we lose games like this. and yes, Im sweating this one out(and hurting, a few spills at softball tonight. cuts, bruises and swamp a$$, the whole nine yards)
I will give the boys in blue alot of credit, they are a MUCH better team than I thought they were.(Ethier being a real shock to me) I hope the DBacks fizzle down the stretch and your team takes advantage, it would make for more interesting October. (although baseball takes a BACKSEAT to football come Sept.)

Ethier is super hot. He does that sometimes. Martin is coming out of his awful slump. Bout time. I think they gunna threaten like bigshots tonite, but truth is they are gunna come up buck short. They aren't laying down though. They don't lay down against you guys. Weird...I think they don't fear your pitching staff as much as they do some others.

We thought Ethier was gunna be a great player. It hasn't worked out that way. He has great patches, but he ain't great. He isn't a consistently good hitter. He is consistently good at making the pitcher work though. He will help tire a pitcher out. This here is a foul ball hit'n boy.

We have nothing to fear besides Hamels and Lidge, and they are both touchable at times...We are an easy team to study on film..If you could only see the real Utley, as he's mired in this slump. He usually goes in a short one and snaps out of it, not this elongated $hit. He is a HBP magnet standing as close as he does...

Rollins need to learn how to work a count, he is coming up smaller than a shorti hoagie from Wawa this year. Then again, he'll never have another year like last one, I should have anticipated the fall off.

Its a quality that makes everyone else around you better. Underestimated part of the game IMO.

He's a real all-around baseball player. He could be a difference-maker someday in a big game for a ring. Like Gonzo did against the Yanks. I'm talking down the line with a better team. He just kept fouling pitches off of Romero last night( until he got a mistake.) He should be playing every damn game for us. Shows you how doofus Torre is.
