SUN Plays 7/30
The account stands at plus 293 units.
Arlington Park - Race 3 #6 Grand Cherokee - Suave connections send him out after a couple of subpar performances at CD. Worked a nice bullet last week for his 3rd career start. #9 Izzie's Halo - Amoss wins at 26% with 1sters and the Halo's Image chestnut has been training well for his debut. #4 Office Rocket (GB) - Yes, Officer is international. Should improve off his 3rd place finish at first asking. #1 Nerve - Padua homebred adds lasix for Blasi who is 0 for 8 with 1st time starters. The Play - 1 unit Tri Key 6 over 1 4 9 and Tri P/W 1 4 9 with 6 with 1 4 9 = 12 units Also, 2 exacta box 6 with 1 4 9 = 12 units Race 8 #3 Sun Spun - Should take to the AP lawn. #4 Mrs. Debbie M - ITM 50% #5 Pimentinha - We know better than to leave a Mott runner out. #9 Leonor Fini (Ire) - Nice effort in last. #12 Sobresaliente - Loves the AP lawn. #1 Jeanie R - The mile distance suits her best. The Play - Tri P/W keying the 1 for 2nd and 3rd with the 3 4 5 9 12. = 40 units Saratoga - Race 9 - Go For Wand G1 #1 Spun Sugar - Failed as the fav in the Phipps when she bobbled at the start. Should get a nice stalking trip behind all the speed. The Play - 40 units to win Del Mar - Race 8 - Bing Crosby G1 #2 Trickey Trevor - Will benefit from all the ridiculous speed up front. They might go 20 and 42 up front. Not sure what happened in the Triple Bend, but he offers great value here. #5 Bordonaro - Might be the best sprinter at this point, but will be seriously tested up front by the 6 horse. #4 Battle Won - Nice debut for new connections in the Triple Bend. #6 Carthage - NoCal shipper brings some serious speed to this affair and has 5 wins in a row. The Play - 4 units exacta box 2 with 4 5 6 = 24 units Also, 20 units to win on #2 Trickey Trevor Leaves the account at plus 145 units Good Racing Luck |

Bogey's Birdies
Bogey - your picks in the Arlington 8th and Saratoga 9th were keepers. Keep knocking 'em out of the park.

A very nice Sunday of wagering. After all the smoked cleared the account is back up to plus 717 units. As Miller pointed out the 12 horse in ARL's 8th race was scratched which made the ticket 24 units instead of 40 units. We played the 1 in that race 2nd and 3rd and she barely hung on for 3rd. Sometimes the racing gods are on your side. A gutsy effort by Spun Sugar allowed us to score in the Go For Wand in what we thought was an overlay. Trickey Trevor was outrun again and we missed the nightcap. Hope everyone had a profitable weekend. We'll take a look at the Spa and Del Mar for tomorrow to see if anyting sticks out.
Good Racing Luck |
