All of those fights were good.
Too bad Evander keeps going.
He was really an exciting heavyweight.

And the total butt-whipping he gave Tyson
was classic.

Their second fight was insane. First that guy parachuted into the ring, and then the fight ended up being so brutal that I really think Bowe suffered some serious brain damage that night. It always appeared to me that he was a completely different guy - both in and out of the ring - after that fight.

I was at the 3rd fight.

Even though Bowe won - and Holyfield would later conquer Tyson for the heavyweight crown - I think both fighters were a bit past there prime. Still, it was a great fight.

The other major heavyweight championship fight I attended was in Joisey - and wasn't much of a competitive fight - Lewis KO'd Golotta in the 1st round. Still, the Go-Lo fans/hooligans in their white and red face paint with Polish flags draped over themselves made it all worthwhile.

There were a few pretty intense fights in the crowd throughout the night.

I reminded a lot of people of a young Peter McNeely in my boxing days - just without quite as much skill and accuracy.

Golatta was a thug in Poland.
Total trash. He would have fights
won and go south of the border with
a punch to get DQed. One of the dirtiest
heavyweight fighters.
