Default Legends race at BC

I mentioned to a friend of mine about the "legends" race at the BC. He is a huge Pat Day fan. At any rate, is it a wagering event or just like baseball - with "ole timers day" just a neat thing to watch?

They are making it authentic by allowing you to lose money on a bad ride, this time from old jocks.

If you owned a champion horse, that was eligible or you thought capable of winning a BC million dollar plus race, would you want a jockey (understood a ledgend) that has been retired (various reasons) to have your horses fate in his or her hands?
Not to mention, what distance and surface would you hold the race at? It seems that they have everything covered, even things that shouldn't be covered they have races for.
But then again, this is the BC we are talking about. They would probably like the idea and make a day out of it.

They aren't riding any BC horses to my knowledge.

Thanks, I misread the post thinking that the poster wanted a race at the BC with all the ledgends riding. I knew they were having a regular race, but saw BC and made the wrong connection.
