Default Bridge jumper at Laurel

Someone dumped $100k on YOUR FLAME IN ME in the 6th at Laurel on Saturday. With only one race in 7 months, a 2nd place finish at Delpark back in July in a $100k stake, I guess she was just a little short in yesterday's race......

Show prices in the 5 horse field were:

$55.20
$32.80
$56.20

Dive, dive.....

I thought she was a cinch and bet big. but for me, big is 6 bucks and not $100K bucks. My favorite angle of all is first time bar shoes on while coming off of a layoff. Even when they are 1/20 odds I can't get away from passing up bets on that angle.

where's the guy that's always yappin' about how this can be a smart play whenever someone backs a dump truck of money into the show pool and wins?

"you can make a guaranteed 5% in less then 2 minutes."

can we continue that debate?

And lose 100% in less than 2 min.
Seems like a drug habit play on borrowed money
followed immediately by a Soprano wackin.

You miss the point if you think this is an example of the type of race that makes sense to bridge jump on. An AOC at Laurel park in the middle of november with a short horse?

Of course the other opportunities where a bridge jump makes sense go unmentioned.

You guys win.

i doubt it.

so long as every example that falls outside of a win is dismissed as not meeting some ill defined nebulous "standard" you can't really lose the argument, can you?

No, you are correct. i said every time a horse is odds on, it is wise to bridge jump on it regardless of race conditions.

Again, you guys win.

this is how that usually goes, there was a guy doing monster show bets at crc a few months back. first you win a few in a row then you lose one and think its a fluke, then you win a couple more before you then lose for the second time, then you kill yourself
