12/10: Hollywood ($146k C/O)
Nice P6 pot to start the HollyPark homestretch. The P6 looks approachable depending on your budget. As straightforward as the races are, a single or more than one single, appears hard to find.
Like last year as I recall, I am going to be sorry to see this meet end. It's been a lucrative stretch. HOLLYWOOD PARK PRE-SCRATCHES 3rd: CLM, 3+, 6.5f (P6, P3, DD) Most Likely: #5 Rogue Scholar 3-1 5th As Likely: #2 Exceedingly 2-1 WON Next Best: #3 Reality Now 5-2 3rd 4th: ALW/N$Y, 2yo-F, 6.5f (P3, DD) Most Likely: #5 Pride 9-5 2nd Best Value: #4 Wind Caper 5-1 5th Next Best: #1 Joe'sgirklisgolden 3-1 4th 5th: MSW, 2yo-F, 6f-T (P4, P3, DD) Most Likely: #1e Lobo entry 2-1 2nd/4th Next Best: #2 Fastongrass 3-1 WON Exotics Add: #7 Coracao Beijo 5-2 3rd Best Value: #3 Exotic Design 6-1 7th $1 Exacta (2-1) Paid $15.50 $1 Trifecta (2-1-7) Paid $39.60 6th: CLM, 3+, 8.5f (P3, DD, Super) Most Likely: #6 Glimmering Pete 4-1 4th Best Value: #3 Chadlington 15-1 6th Next Best: #5 Twin Turbo 5-2 2nd Exotics Use: #8 One Shot 5-1 WON 7th: OC/N3X, 6f-T (DD) Most Likely: #4 Delta Storm 2-1 WON Best Value: #5 Racketeer 3-1 4th Next Best: #1 Hewitts 5-2 2nd 8th: MDN CLM, F&M-3+, 8.5f (Super, Super Hi-5) Most Likely: #3 Dixieland Pop 8-5 WON Next Best: #7 Love Our Grandkids 3-1 Best Value: #1 Paddlin Mud 6-1 Exotics Use: #4 Clever Caitlyn 7-2 <$200 P6 Play: 3: 2-5 4: 4-5 5: 1 6: 1-3-4-5-6-8 7: 4-5 8: 3-7 2x2x1x6x2x2 = 96 x $2 = $192 <$75 P4 Play: 5: 1-2 6: 1-3-4-5-6-8 7: 4-5 8: 1-3-7 2x6x2x3 = $72 Good luck! Pick 6 Budget Play
Would usually never be playing a Wednesday pk 6 carryover unless it was a monster, but the race sequence is too playable to pass up. I'll take a very affordable stab at it.
A) 2 - Exceeding 8-yo gelding is in fine form. Should be able to sit off the speed and get a nice trip with a small field. Rogue Scholar shouldn't let Reality Now get a comfortable lead and in the end, I think Exceeding just has too much class for these two. B) 3- CandleJas, 5 Pride I don't trust the Pletcher horse at all, but can't really find anyone who can beat her. CandleJas gets some serious class relief, and the turn back to 6-1/2 furlongs where she won her maiden should pay dividends. Joe'sgirlisgolden draws the rail, faces tougher and will really have to work for the lead against these. C) 1 Entry, 2-Fastongrass, 7- Coracao Beijo Including the 3 obvious players D) 1 Silver Vista, 4 Bodacat, 6, Glimmering Pete, 8 One Shot Toughest race in the sequence, and would go even deeper on a bigger budget. E) 4 Delta Storm Tough call between him and Rackateer. This is more of a hunch play based on turf form and the barn, as Abrams has been ice cold during Hollywood. F) 3 Dixieland Pop Single based purely on MSW to MD CLAIMING class drop, and that she has the best jockey in the race. Not comfortable with the single, but if I somehow make it this far on a $48 ticket, I'll be more than happy. 1x2x3x4x1x1 = 24 X $2 = $48 Good luck everyone. |

L/C..
Nice $50 tick.. Good luck. It seems like one of those sequences where the big tix and the budget tix have equal shots. If pressed for a tight budget play, I'd mirror your closely with minor adjustment and a spread in that $8k circle-jerk.. 3: 2-5 4: 4-5 5: 1 6: 1-3-4-5-6-8 7: 4 8: 3 $48
