Default Iraqi Man Throws 2 Shoes at President Bush

I laughed

I don't like Bush, but I have to say, he has damn quick reflexes to dodge those shoes.

I give Bush credit for grace under unknown threat, but his Secret Service protection was appallingly caught off-guard - the guy had time to reload the second shoe.

The guy was with a television station, news said well-known local TV correspondent?

It's that biased, conservative, wing-tip media !

after gulf war 1 baghdad airport had a mosaic of bush, sr. in the terminal so international travelers had to walk across his face entering the country.

i'm dating someone that lived in beirut until she was 23. she thinks the shoe thing is a peasant insult and was surprised an allegedly educated reporter lowered himself. it's like a white house reporter dropping trou.

but he'll probably be a hero to a big part of his audience. arabs have their version of rednecks and this will be a big hit with them.

you're such a mom.

shoes hanging on wire = house to buy drugs. shhh...it's a secret code.

according to the internet.

god knows it's been the cause of numerous misunderstandings where i'm pounding on the door of some stranger at 2am.

uhhhh its right next to the football field at our school.
Bunch of old cleats from football players.
Where all the neighborhood people run around the track.
Right out in the open and lit up. Easy for the police/HS security to see.

Maybe in more urban areas.

But interesting.
Never knew this.

It was a nice dodge. McCain or Gore would have had a Nike tattoo across their forehead. I think Obama would have dodged it too.
