Thurs - New Year's Day FG PK4
Happy New Year
Fair Grounds R4 - MSW 42k (Newly turned 3yo) Some real interesting runners making their debut. Two major things to consider before taking the plunge in this event - Paddock presense and tote board action. You'll see plenty more to these types in the coming weeks at Gulfstream Park as well. #3 Omniscient - Asmussen son of Pulpit 2nd #2 Flavor - Claiborne home bred by Elusive Quality - Stall/Robby #8 Career High - Canadian bred son of Strong Hope. #1 Montecore - $400k Hold That Tiger colt had a blowout workout last Saturday. 3rd R7 - La Breds Alw 46k #5 Warrior Maid WON #8 Trysting #3 Lightlightlight 2nd #4 Wild Etbauer SCR R8 - Alw 44k N1X (Turf) #1 Points of Grace WON #5 Forever Red 3rd R9 - OC30k/N1Y #2 Lord of the Game - One of the best claims ever (By Saint Ballado out of an A.P. Indy mare) returns to the races after being on hiatus since October 2005. I know some of you remember the story, especially horseplayers that follow the Chicago circuit. Claimed for $10k in debut and went on to win a couple of graded stakes and has earned over $500k. He's training like he's ready to fire at 1st asking, which includes a nice bullet on 12/20/08. #5 King of Speed WON #1 Geier Entry 2nd R10 - La Breds Md 10k #5 True Prophet 2nd #4 Louisana Dude WON #1 Midnite Cruz SCR #8 Lil Tramp PK4 - 3 5 8 / 1 5 / 2 5 / 4 5 8 10 = $24 for a $.50 play Chalk City = Hit the PK4 and lost $4 in the process Good Racing Luck

Best of luck to ya Gus and Happy New Year!
You have 5,8 in the second leg of the P4. It should read 1,5.

I'm well aware of the Lord of the Game story; claimed by Tomillo on New Years eve either 5-6 years ago out of a Mdn10000 which he won by 22 lengths......but I also don't like betting runners off 3 years layoffs. I wish him the best of luck but I will definitely not be betting him.

i was going to use this horse but at the last second threw the chalk in instead. The horse obviously figures, especially since Assmuesen is shifting bridge to the 3 over the 5. Alive to the 1257 gl -bt- |
