Default playoff lines

Dvisional Round playoff line

Titans -3
Panthers -9.5
NY Giants-4
Pitt -6

The lack of respect given to the home teams is interesting to say the least considering the history of this round.

I see Carolina as a good play, my feelings on the Giants impending doom are documented, Baltimore is hard to bet against and I guess Pitt should cover against SD. Where specifically do you see a lack of respect?

The titans get a week off, are conference champs and get vandenbosch and haynesworth back. Regardless of what happened in baltimore in the regular season, i figured tenn to be favored by a higher number.

SD only getting 6 at Pitt? Again, why shouldnt Pitt be at least a touchdown against a team that finished 8-8 with no thomlinson? Especially a west coast team travelling east into likely inclement weather.

I would think Zona should be getting double digits. At 9.5, thats a gift. Carolina should win by a 1000.

The other game is a rivalry game so the number makes sense.

#1 The titans aren't exactly offensive juggernauts and the Ravens D has been awesome.

#2 The Bolts have won 5 in a row. Plus they are playing at team that doesn't generate a ton pf points either, not to mention that their QB was taken of on a cart 2 weeks ago.

#3 9 1/2 is a lot of wood for a playoff game. I understand your feelings about Carolina pounding them and I'm leaning that way too. But Arizona can put a lot of points on the board and they could do it quickly. I don't think it's that far off. I do think that either the Cards win outright or they lose by 30.

Ravens look the best to spring the upset....wouldn't touch the Giants / Eagles game with your money.
Panthers & Steelers should have no problem.

I like San Diego, but I can't trust them. They play a little loose(that fumble close to the goal line, and getting beat by Manning on the no huddle play.) They should of won that game easily, but they play a little bit stupidly at times. They kind of remind me of a Barry Switzer-coached team.

How dare you insult Switzer like that! Norv makes Switzer look like Schottenheimer.

Chargers are good, but make a lot of mistakes that I think can be avoided. They do remind me of some of those talented Oklahoma teams. The Chargers played better the whole game, and the Colts played smarter during most of the game(not in the overtime.) Fact is that game was probably decided by the coin toss going into overtime. Remember that the Chargers were somewhat forced to go for a field goal(instead of a game winning T.D.,) because they had no time outs(very Switzer-like.) I think they are a little scattered overall, and are very susceptible to getting beat by a more methodical team(not necessarily one more talented..just smarter.) That play that Manning burned them badly on should be enough for you to agree that this coaching staff was unprepared, and they could easily have lost the game for the Chargers.

They are actually 10-1 to win the superbowl. I would take a shot for a few hundred dollars if I was in Vegas. I am hoping the Giants pull it off, but there is something about that Raven team. They just have something going there that looks like a championship team.

I agree. I'd also take a shot on the Eagles. These are the two best 6-seeds in recent memory.

The way Kerry Collins has looked against the Ravens D over the years ... I'd expect about a 10-6 final score with Fisher running the ball a lot on obvious passing downs.
