Default Jockeys...Animal Planet

Just watched the trailer for this upcoming show or series...looks rather interesting. Any thoughts?

My bad...I search "jockeys" to see if anyone has started and post and nothing came up...then in my travels I see "jockey" without an S. Anyway...this clip is a bit longer then 5 seconds....

Not bad only for a 3 minute and 20 sec clip. Four spills, a horse rearing up badly in the gate ,sirens and someone being taken off in an ambulance (I guess that they are trying to target those NASCAR fans that watch just for the accidents too).
I do think it looks interesting, but I do think they are trying to spin/sell it more as a soap opera (between the romances, bad blood and fights) than a true documentry. But, I will definitely watch it.

I agree...3 minutes of the clip show a brutal side of horse racing...I am hoping it isn't entirely negative and they show it as the "Sport of Kings"

Did they really have to show all the spills? The show is going to be on animal planet where millions of animal lovers are going to watching horses die on the track....not exactly good for the sport

We are so starved for coverage of our sport in the media, that I'm sure I'll have to give it a chance.

Full page back cover ad in Rolling Stone with the tag line "Win or die trying"...

At least they are trying to market it to a different/new audience

The the problem with that slogan is that (at least I did) people are going to think about the horses dying and not the jockeys.
